MAD Lions will face G2 Esports on Friday in their sixth game of the LEC 2022 Summer season. The league has been underway since 17 June, 2022, and will end on 14 August, 2022. It follows a double round robin format with 10 teams participating in it before heading into a playoffs round where only the top-6 can qualify. The matches are best of one.
MAD Lions didn’t make it to the playoffs last time around and G2 Esports won the Spring season.
MAD Lions vs G2 Esports Match Prediction
MAD Lions will be hoping to make the playoffs
MAD Lions haven’t started the season too badly with three wins out of their five games. They should do better than last time out when they were close to a playoff spot but ultimately missed out, having managed to only win eight of their games in the league last season.
So far, their numbers have been solid, without being outstanding – a win rate of 66.66% when they’re ahead at the 15-minute mark, damage per minute of 1655 that sits well when you consider their average kill/death ratio is very healthy at 3; they’ve been somewhat conservative, but effective for the most part.
They’ll be going up against a very strong opponent and loss is likely but it won’t stop them from achieving their ultimate aim for the season, which should allow them to go into this match with a bright outlook. They also managed one win against G2 last season in the league and will be certain that a win isn’t out of the question.
G2 Esports form
G2 Esports are a strange side. When they’re good, no one else comes close but ever so often, they give their opponents a chance. G2 have made a pretty solid start to this league campaign with four wins on the board, and numbers to match: gold differential of +958 at the 15-minute mark, a 100% win rate when they’re ahead at that mark, damage per minute of 2475, and a whopping average of 20.8 kills per game as against an average of 9.6 deaths. They’re in marauding form and it will take work to stop them.
Last time out, they were incredible in the playoffs, destroying everyone in their way, but the same couldn’t be said for their league form as they only won 11 of their 18 matches. They seem to be setting that right this time. They have a lot of great players to count on but their bot laner, Flakked, stands out. He has been impressive all year, averaging 4 kills, 1.78 deaths, 6.05 assists and had a KDA of 5.64 in 2022.
MAD Lions vs G2 Esports Betting Prediction
It’d be foolish to bet against G2 Esports. When they’re at their best, most teams don’t stand a chance. It’s then a question of what sort of G2 will turn up.
For now, it’s best to bet on them playing their strongest side and going for the win.
