Week two of LCK Summer Split 2022 will have some great games, with some of the favorites to lift the trophy facing each other.
Kwangdong Freecs vs Nongshim RedForce is one of the most intriguing matches this week since both teams have a good roster and have the goal of making the playoffs, and is the first series of day two of this second week of LCK action.
Without further ado, let’s get right into the prediction of Kwangdong Freecs vs Nongshim RedForce.

Kwangdong Freecs vs Nongshim RedForce Match Prediction
Kwangdong Freecs enter week two with a 1-1 record after defeating Hanwha Life Esports 2-1 and losing to DRX 2-0.
As for Nongshim RedForce the team went 0-2 last week, losing to T1 and DRX, with both series finishing 2-0 in favor of their opponents.
On paper, these are two teams with a lot of individual skill and that in theory should be able to secure a playoff spot.
However, things haven’t looked great for Nongshim RedForce. They didn’t have a good Summer Split despite their roster looking good on paper, and it seems the same fate is awaiting them this Split unless they change some things.
In the case of Kwangdong Freecs, the team has been a solid middle-of-the-table squad. It’s very unlikely they will win an LCK title but they can take games out of the best teams and normally easily defeat the teams that are worse than them.
On the Spring Split, we saw Kwangdong Freecs win both series against Nongshim RedForce, with both series finishing 2-0 in favor of the Kwangdong Freecs.
While Kwangdong Freecs were able to make the playoffs despite their record of 8-10 not being amazing, Nongshim RedForce finished with a 5-13 record, and apart from an upset victory over DWG KIA they only won series versus the bottom teams of the LCK.
The early game for Kwangdong Freecs is a very solid one, as they have an average gold lead of 1k at the 14-minute mark, 80% first tower percentage, and a 60% first blood rate.
It’s true that most games in the LCK have gone the length as the meta for the league right now is to play more towards the late game, having a solid early game will ensure you get to the mid/late game in a good state to contest for the game.
Nongshim RedForce early game is not as impressive, it isn’t horrible but they have a deficit of 500 gold at the 14-minute mark, their first tower rate is one of the lowest in the league at 25%, and their first blood rate is surprisingly good at 75%.
Both teams are somewhat flexible when it comes to the draft phase, but I give the advantage to Kwangdong Freecs in this department as all the players have shown they have a big lack of champions that they can play at a proficient level.
Teddy is still one of the best ADCs in the league and he was been performing like that even when his team isn’t looking great. Fate is also been playing really well, while Kiin despite not having shown the dominant Kinn of the past yet has still been putting on a solid show.
I see Kwangdong Freecs as a more complete team with some great individual players that can take over a game, especially Teddy so I think Kwangdong Freecs will win this series.
