Liverpool are preparing a nine-player squad overhaul under incoming manager Andoni Iraola, with five major summer signings already targeted and a £129.6m-rated winger having signalled his willingness to move to Anfield.

The club parted ways with Arne Slot on Saturday following an end-of-season review. The Dutchman guided Liverpool to a title in his debut campaign but managed no better than a fifth-placed Premier League finish in his second year. FSG moved quickly, holding positive talks with Iraola over the weekend, with a deal expected to be finalised within days according to correspondent Graeme Bailey.
ESPN has since outlined the scale of change planned for the summer window. Three confirmed departures — Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate — are already on the books, but the list does not stop there. Alisson Becker, Curtis Jones, Federico Chiesa and Joe Gomez have all been named as candidates to leave. TEAMtalk understands that a move for Alisson has since been blocked, though exits for the other three remain genuine possibilities. Jones is considered the most likely to go, with a Aston Villa move dropped in favour of a Serie A switch.
Iraola’s Five-Player Shopping List
ESPN‘s report confirms that Iraola has presented club chiefs with a five-player list to build his high-energy system at Anfield. At least one elite winger is required, possibly two.
RB Leipzig‘s Yan Diomande sits at the top of the list for both the incoming manager and club executives. The 19-year-old has delivered an outstanding breakout season in the Bundesliga and has been tracked by the Reds throughout the campaign as they planned for life after Salah — a process that accelerated following the Egyptian’s falling-out with the club in early December. Bild reports that Leipzig could demand up to €150 million (£129.6m) for a player they are keen to retain for at least another season.
Despite that asking price, FootMercato journalist Santi Aouna has reported that Diomande is ready to move on.
“Yan Diomandé has given his green light to join PSG & Liverpool. Several meetings have already taken place between PSG / Leipzig and his agents.” — Santi Aouna, FootMercato
A follow-up report from the same outlet added further context:
“According to our sources, Yan Diomande has given his approval to join Paris Saint-Germain. This is a crucial step in the recruitment process, as the Parisian club is waiting for mutual interest before making a move. Diomande, on the other hand, is less enthusiastic about the prospect of joining Bayern Munich, who are also interested in his services. He is, however, also tempted by the prospect of joining Liverpool. It remains to be seen whether PSG will be able to reach an agreement with RB Leipzig, who are in a strong position given the length of the contract. The Parisian club has no intention of overpaying for any player, believing they already have a sufficiently talented squad.”
Beyond Diomande, ESPN also identifies PSG star Bradley Barcola as an ambitious winger target. West Ham‘s Jarrod Bowen, potentially available following the Hammers‘ relegation to the Championship, is also under consideration.
Inter Milan‘s Denzel Dumfries has been identified as the answer to concerns at right-back, where Jeremie Frimpong and the fitness of Conor Bradley remain question marks. A release clause valued at just €25 million makes the deal financially accessible, and as reported on May 19, Dumfries himself is pushing for the move with contact already established.
Crystal Palace‘s Adam Wharton is the fifth name on Iraola‘s list, targeted to inject energy into a midfield that underperformed this season. The Eagles are resistant to selling and could demand up to £80 million.
With Konate‘s exit confirmed and speculation over his next destination pointing toward both Manchester United and Real Madrid, the scale of reconstruction at Anfield is significant. Stay with TipsGG for continuing coverage as Liverpool‘s summer takes shape.
