A busy football weekend lands on 19-20 September, and there are nine selections to go with it, spread across fixtures in England, Germany, France and Spain. Prices run from 1.70 at the short end to 2.25 at the top, and the odds converter will turn those decimals into fractional or American format if you need it. The three names behind the calls are Oleksandr Vaskov and Oleksandr Halian, both Sports Data Managers, and Oleksii Svyrydov, TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert, and between them they have gone for goal lines, handicaps, a double chance and a first-half scorer market. TipsGG publishes free football betting tips with pre-match odds for the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. With European commitments cutting into preparation time for several of these sides, rotation and fatigue shape more than one of these calls.

Tottenham vs Aston Villa Prediction
Tottenham have picked up just two points from four rounds, have yet to score a single goal in the Premier League and remain without a win in four matches across all competitions. At home the picture is even more worrying: in their last 20 league games in front of their own supporters, the Londoners have managed only two wins. Aston Villa have collected even fewer league points, but their attack has finally found a spark — seven goals in their last three games in all competitions. The return of Joao Gomes gives Emery another option in midfield, while Tammy Abraham‘s brace has strengthened the competition up front. Tottenham’s squad situation is trickier: Tonali and Porro are doubtful, and Maddison is still being eased back through substitute appearances.
Recent head-to-head history also favours the visitors, but their away record is far from impressive: only one win in their last nine league matches on the road. So much depends on which attack is first to confirm the improvement of recent days.
If Villa can carry over their cup scoring form, they will hold an important trump card, but home advantage, even taking the statistics into account, leaves Tottenham a chance to finally end their long winless run.
Prediction: Tottenham to win at odds of 2.02
Brighton vs Arsenal Betting Tips
Brighton produced an impressive comeback against Manchester United in the League Cup (3:2), and before that brushed Coventry aside (5:0) in the league. Fabian Hurzeler‘s side are showing serious attacking potential — 13 goals in four Premier League rounds, which keeps them fifth and inside the European places. The team have taken 7 points from a possible 12 and keep showing character: even on a difficult trip to Stamford Bridge, where the Seagulls were 0:3 down by the 32nd minute, they put Chelsea under real pressure after the break and turned the game into a battling defeat (3:4).
Mikel Arteta‘s Arsenal currently look like a perfectly tuned machine, having strung together seven straight wins in all competitions. The Gunners top the Premier League table with a 100% record. Beyond their consistency in the league and the Champions League, the Londoners eased past Ipswich in the League Cup (4:2), showing enormous squad depth — the hero of that night was 16-year-old Max Dowman, who scored twice. Arsenal’s football is not always spectacular, but it is extremely effective. Arteta keeps everything under control, rotating well and getting results despite creating a fairly modest number of chances.
Brighton‘s form and the way they throw themselves into every game really is impressive. Arsenal will certainly be fresher, as they had one extra day of rest and fielded far from their strongest line-up, while the hosts had to dig out a win over Manchester United. Even so, in this match the home side will fight for every blade of grass to get a result, so it makes sense to take a risk on Brighton with the handicap.
Prediction: Brighton with a +1 handicap — odds of 1.72
Newcastle vs Hull City Odds & Pick
St James’ Park hosts a fifth-round Premier League fixture in which Newcastle have to show character after their collapse against Leeds (1:4) in the previous round. The Magpies, however, welcome newly promoted Hull City, one of seven Premier League teams still unbeaten, so an easy afternoon for the hosts is far from guaranteed.
Newcastle’s players are still in a period of rebuilding. That is why the team are not producing consistent performances, even if their matches are entertainingly high-scoring. Historically, St James’ Park has been a comfortable venue for these visitors — in the 21st century the two sides have met four times at Newcastle’s ground: Hull won three of them and one ended in a draw.
Newcastle are always dangerous at home, but their current form raises questions, unlike that of their opponents, who arrive in good spirits. I expect the Tigers to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League, and their unbeaten record at St James’ Park along with it.
Prediction: Hull City not to lose (X2) — 2.25
Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund Preview
The MHPArena stages a meeting of two Bundesliga sides who both opened their Champions League campaigns with wins. Their domestic situations, however, could hardly be more different.
Stuttgart have managed just one victory in three rounds and, as a result, sit in the lower half of the table. Notably, all five of their games this season have produced a solid number of goals, and in four of the five both teams found the net.
Borussia Dortmund are one of only two teams with a 100% winning record after three Bundesliga rounds, and they have now won five matches in a row. Like their opponents’ games, Dortmund’s matches have been entertaining in front of goal, with two of the last three seeing both sides score.
The hosts are anything but consistent, but they should find their way to the visitors’ goal at least once. Borussia have started the season superbly and, given their opponents’ problems, should extend their unbeaten — perhaps even winning — run. I believe both teams will score and the visitors will avoid defeat.
Prediction: Both teams to score (Yes) & Borussia Dortmund not to lose (2X) — 1.98
Lyon vs Rennes Match Tips
Lyon have already been through plenty early in the season because of Champions League qualification, but the games keep coming. In Ligue 1 things are going reasonably well — two wins and two draws, and those draws could easily have been two more victories. Encouragingly, the squad is fully available, which should offset the difficulties created by their trip to Belgium against Anderlecht (2:1).
Rennes have started more convincingly in Ligue 1 but could not break down Sturm in the Europa League (0:0). The red-and-blacks consistently create and score plenty, and they have no squad problems either, although their bench does not offer the same depth and quality.
Lyon do not often get the better of Rennes at home, but right now they have every chance. Paulo Fonseca rested a large number of first-choice players in Belgium, which means he can put them straight into the starting line-up against the red-and-blacks, while the visitors have no answer to that — Esteban Lepaul not only played the full match but failed to impress, and the midfield pair of Valentin Rongier and Adrien Thomasson also used up a lot of energy.
Prediction: Lyon to win at odds of 2.10
Bournemouth vs Liverpool Prediction
Bournemouth came through an emotional European away trip against Real Sociedad (2:1). The Cherries produced a phenomenal first half: they pressed high and aggressively, scored through Kluivert and Ryan inside 20 minutes and completely outplayed their opponents. In the second half, though, the team faded physically, handed over the initiative and only survived the Basques’ late siege thanks to Petrovic‘s saves. In the league, Bournemouth are still without a win (three draws, one defeat) and sit 15th, even if they regularly start matches strongly.
Liverpool‘s cup game against Tottenham (3:1) followed a similar script. The Merseysiders opened the scoring on 21 minutes through Alexis Mac Allister, Gakpo doubled the lead after the break, and then the visitors handed the initiative entirely to their opponents: they conceded and frankly looked second best to Spurs. In stoppage time, however, Dominik Szoboszlai settled it with a superb long-range strike. The Reds currently sit eighth in the Premier League and, just like their upcoming opponents, struggle to close games out, mostly settling for draws (three draws and one win).
Liverpool are far too inconsistent at the moment, so I have no doubt this will not be an easy match for them, even though they had two extra days of rest. In my view, Bournemouth will again start proactively, trying to convert home advantage into something tangible.
Prediction: Bournemouth to score in the first half — odds of 1.94
Manchester City vs Sunderland Betting Tips
Defeat in the Community Shield remains Manchester City‘s only setback under Maresca. The team are moving through the Premier League flawlessly: a week ago they took maximum points even in the away derby at Manchester United (1:0), despite an early sending-off midway through the first half — although that game was not without controversy, as the only goal should have been ruled out for offside. Tellingly, City have not conceded a single goal since the start of autumn — a clean-sheet run stretching four matches and more than 390 minutes.
Sunderland have just claimed a historic win in the Europa League, but their league start has been tougher. They have won only one of four matches, collecting four points in total. Even their disappointing games, including the one against Arsenal, were tense — Sunderland have shown they are ready to compete in every fixture.
Most likely, Manchester City will grind out a hard-fought win by a margin of one or two goals.
Prediction: Manchester City -1.5 handicap at odds of 1.83
Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid Odds & Pick
Atletico arrive at the derby on a high after two consecutive thrashings (4:0 and 3:0). Diego Simeone‘s side produced a striking statistical performance against Osasuna, racking up an abnormal expected-goals figure (3.97 xG) and firing 26 shots, 11 of them on target. The main men were Jonathan David, Lee Kang-in and Alex Baena. The Rojiblancos have 13 points and sit fourth in La Liga, looking remarkably assured. And the absence of Julian Alvarez — a genuinely hated figure at the Metropolitano — only works in the hosts’ favour.
Real Madrid, for their part, gave their own supporters plenty of nervous moments, almost allowing Elche to complete a comeback (3:2). Despite total dominance both on the ball and in chances created, Los Blancos could not close the game out calmly. Kylian Mbappe, after controversial interviews in which he managed to sour relations with several club and international team-mates, still delivered another impressive individual display — he scored and set up Carlos Espi, who snatched the win in the 90+1st minute. It was the young Spanish forward’s second winning goal of the season, and given that Espi has played only 26 minutes in total across five matches, that record becomes even more remarkable.
The recent Madrid derbies have been unusually high-scoring. In my opinion, this match should be no exception, given the attacking strength of both sides and the obvious lack of coordination in their defensive work early in the season. I would also highlight that Atletico quite often score against Real thanks to vertical football and crosses from the flanks. Los Blancos, meanwhile, have started making active use of Arda Guler‘s radio-controlled deliveries at set pieces, becoming dangerous in the air.
Main prediction: Over 3 goals — odds of 1.70
Alternative prediction: A headed goal in the match — odds of 2.65
Fulham vs Manchester United Preview
Craven Cottage hosts two teams who are not living up to expectations, at least so far. Fulham welcome Manchester United in a genuine battle of the new campaign’s disappointments.
The arrival of Alvaro Arbeloa has yet to bring the desired results — no Premier League win and unconvincing football, with progress only in the League Cup, where two rounds have already been negotiated. The Spanish coach is trying to instil attractive attacking football at the Cottagers, and at times it genuinely works, but the defensive problem remains unsolved and the players lack the attacking quality to simply outscore opponents.
Manchester United began the season with an unexpected defeat to newly promoted Hull City (0:2), then went three matches unbeaten, before that run gave way to two narrow defeats. The most recent of them, against Brighton (2:3), was especially painful, as the Red Devils squandered a two-goal lead. Results like that hit the players’ morale hard.
In a meeting of two teams who have started the season unconvincingly, I expect chaos and a solid number of goals. Both sides make mistakes at the back, so both teams scoring and a high total look like the most logical outcome of this contest.
Prediction: Both teams to score (Yes) & over 2.5 goals — 1.77
Across the nine calls the pricing is remarkably tight, with everything sitting between 1.70 and 2.25, plus the 2.65 alternative on the Madrid derby. Five of the selections are goal-based, which says plenty about how leaky these defences have looked, and a free bet calculator is the quickest way to work out what these prices return in singles or combinations.
