Fnatic Part Ways With KRIMZ After 10 Years, Ending the Longest Tenure in CS History

05.06.2026, 09:12

fnatic have benched Freddy “KRIMZ” Johansson, closing out a decade-long chapter with the organization. The Swedish veteran’s removal marks the end of what stands as the longest cumulative tenure of any player under a single organization in CS:GO history.

The decision follows a steep decline for fnatic through 2026. The squad fell from a borderline top-30 position at the start of the year to 80th on the Valve Regional Standings as of June 5, a slide that also cost them a spot at the ongoing IEM Cologne Major.

That collapse ran parallel to a deliberate roster shift toward a Ukrainian core. fnatic brought in Nikita “jackasmo” Skyba at the end of 2025 to link up with his former Passion UA teammates Rodion “fEAR” Smyk and Dmytro “jambo” Semera, then added Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets in March. KRIMZ was the last holdover blocking a fully Ukrainian playing lineup, and his removal completes that transition, even if the organization offered no public explanation for the timing or a named replacement.

KRIMZ remains contracted to fnatic as an inactive player, but the practical reality is that his competitive career with the club is over. His most recent continuous stint ran 3,511 days, the longest active run of any player under a single team and the second longest of all time, trailing only Håvard “rain” Nygaard‘s tenure with FaZe Clan by just 28 days.

Factor in his earlier spell with the organization from 2014 to 2016, which was only briefly interrupted by a short detour through GODSENT and back two months later, and the combined total reaches 4,288 days, the highest cumulative figure ever recorded.

fnatic‘s current active roster stands as:

  • Rodion “fEAR” Smyk (Ukraine)
  • Dmytro “jambo” Semera (Ukraine)
  • Nikita “jackasmo” Skyba (Ukraine)
  • Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets (Ukraine)
  • Miks “Independent” Siliņš (Latvia, coach)
