Sergey “G” Bragin has left EXTREMUM Dota 2 lineup. The organization announced it on its Twitter. EXTREMUM Dota squad has lost all active players at the moment.
EXTREMUM’s esports executive Yevgeniy Kuzmin explained why the Dota 2 lineup was disbanded.
“We threw a lot of games we could win. There were games where we had an advantage, but then something went wrong in the team’s communication and we lost this games.”
The organization representative also explained why the players were leaving the team gradually.
“Blizzy was not part of the main roster. He came to help us at TI qualifiers, for which I thank him very much. We decided that we definitely keep Maksim “mellojul” Pnev in the main roster because he is the most capable player on the team in terms of individual performance in our opinion. He is the most active, youngest and promising player in our opinion. But he played the test games with Winstrike. He wanted to stay with us as an organization, but after that test games he was more inclined to go there. We offered Sergey (G) a coaching job, but he said he wanted to play at least one more season.”
Kuzmin also gave the main reason for G’s departure from the team:
“We tried to make some test squads which was unsuccessful. We realized that we wanted to wait for the end of TI and then go back to Dota again. Parting ways with G was a logical decision for us.”
EXTREMUM’s Dota 2 team finished 9-12th in qualifying for The International 10, losing 1:2 to Nemiga.
