Evil Geniuses vs Optic Gaming match prediction
Optic Gaming has so far been the best team in the Champions Tour North America Stage 2: Challengers. After a great win at Masters Reykjavík, the North American team has continued their great performances and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
Last week they dominated their once upon a time rivals Sentinels, showing they are clearly the better team, and what was once one of the biggest rivalries in North America is now a one-sided affair in the favor of Optic Gaming.
Many can say that Sentinels had two stand-ins, but in reality, everyone knows that even with the full starting roster the result would be the same. Maybe the games could have been closer but Optic Gaming would still come out on top.
Evil Geniuses has also looked really until now. They currently sit second in group B and with a win can grab the number one spot in the group.
This team prepares really well for their opponents, always having some anti-strats, and some good understanding of what their opponent might do, due to their preparation being so good and solid, that gives them an advantage in that department.
However, against Optic Gaming it’s very hard to prepare or develop anti-strats, since the Masters Reykjavík champions always have new tricks up their sleeves.
It can be a new composition, a role swap in a specific map, Optic Gaming is unpredictable and that really hurts Evil Geniuses chances of getting the win here.
This will be a good game to see how Evil Geniuses do against a team of the caliber of Optic Gaming. They had a good performance against Cloud9 at the beginning of Stage 2 but ended up losing the series.
Will this time Evil Genius beat a title contender and prove that they have what it takes to win it all? I don’t think so.
