The Pistons demolished the Raptors 127-116 as Jalen Duren erupted for 31 points on 12-of-13 shooting with 9 rebounds. Detroit shot 60.3% from the field and 56.3% from three-point range. The team improved to 6-2 without Cade Cunningham, who remains sidelined with a collapsed lung. RJ Barrett paced Toronto with 24 points and 6 rebounds.
Rockets Lock Down Knicks in Coast 2 Coast Opener
The Rockets held the Knicks to 42.4% shooting in a 111-94 victory. Kevin Durant led Houston with 27 points as the team distributed 35 assists.
“I liked how we moved the basketball,” Durant said. “Everyone touched it and felt a part of the game.”
Magic Edge Suns; Other Results
The Magic defeated the Suns 115-111. Desmond Bane delivered the clutch finish with 21 points as Orlando got contributions from six double-figure scorers.
Devin Booker led Phoenix with 29 points on 6-of-12 shooting, converting 16 of 19 free throw attempts. The outcome clinched a top-six playoff spot for both the Nuggets and Lakers.
The Hornets defeated the Nets 117-86. The Bucks beat the Mavericks 123-99.
Scoring Leaders and Streaks
Anthony Edwards ranks second in the NBA with 10 games of 40 or more points this season. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sits third with eight, while Jaylen Brown and Donovan Mitchell are tied for fourth with six each.
The Clippers have won five straight games, bolstered by new point guard Darius Garland’s recent form. Over that span, Garland averaged 25.0 points and 7.8 assists on 58.7/58.1/92.3 shooting splits. Kawhi Leonard and Garland have built early chemistry, posting a combined +97 rating over the last five games.
