Crystal Palace vs. Manchester United at 12 PM Sunday
Crystal Palace and Manchester United will face off at Selhurst Park on Sunday at 12 PM GMT, a change from the original Saturday 12:30 PM kickoff. The adjustment comes due to television scheduling and Palace’s midweek Europa League clash against Strasbourg.
The Premier League initially set the match for Saturday, but Palace’s Thursday night fixture in France pushed the game back a day. Additionally, Sunday’s 2 PM matches will now start at 2:05 PM to avoid overlap with the Selhurst Park game’s conclusion.
Midweek fixtures further complicated scheduling, as the Premier League aims to prevent teams from playing within 60 hours of each other. Palace’s game against United begins just 64 hours after their Strasbourg match. Meanwhile, United will host West Ham on Thursday, while Palace travels to Burnley on Wednesday.
Why the Change?
The Premier League prioritizes television coverage and player welfare. With limited flexibility due to midweek games, the league adjusted the schedule to accommodate both broadcast needs and team recovery time.
This decision ensures minimal disruption while maximizing viewership and maintaining competitive fairness.
