A series of underwhelming results has seen them drop to eighth with four wins and seven losses. The good news, or crumbs of comfort if you can call it, is the they’ve won their most recent outing, which will give them some much-needed confidence going into this one.
Hades needs to live up to the hype
There was considerable hype on Main “Hades” Jonker who moved to Barca after they reached an agreement with MAD Lions Madrid over a transfer, but so far, he hasn’t had the best of seasons. Clearly, they rated him highly when they handed him a retainer until November 2023. So the onus is on him to live up to the expectation. From the evidence of what we’ve seen so far, this summer split has been a struggle. There is still time to turn it around though.
His overall numbers are far lower than what he racked up during his time with Madrid. He has landed 2.55 kills, 3.27 deaths and 4.91 assists, along with a KDA of 2.28 and creep score of 191.09. More deaths than kills is almost akin to taking a step forward only to move two steps back. Whether it is the weight of expectation or the pressure to perform from within, only he could answer. For now, Barca have rallied around their main player and are giving their roster every little encouragement they need to come out of this slump.
