Winning five rounds in a row put XERXIA Esports in control of the game.
Northeption was able to win two more rounds before that half ended, and we went into the second half with an 8-4 score, which on SPlit is not such a bad scoreline.
A pistol-round win would put Northeption back in the game, and that was exactly what happened.
The Japanese champions were able to convert four rounds in a row and tied the game 8-8.

But in the gun rounds, Northeption was by far the superior team.
The Japanese champions attacking side was something of beauty, with great utility use allowing them to find easy entry kills, and Meteor playing like the superstar he is Northeption won eight consecutive rounds and were in firm control of the game.

6-6 was the score heading into halftime, and everything indicated we were going to have a very close and intense second half.
XERXIA Esports once again secured the pistol round and converted the eco round.
However, this time the Japanese champions went on a four-round win streak and were now leading 10-8 with XERXIA Esports having no money to buy into the next round, meaning Northeption had the game in the palm of their hand.

But XERXIA Esports wasn’t going down without a fight.
The APAC vice-champions armed with very little were able to win a very important round and one that on paper they shouldn’t have one.

Northeption however, never gave up and with a very fast-paced B site execution forced double overtime.
There we finally got to know the winner of this epic series.
