VALORANT’s New Faction War: Alpha vs Omega Kicks Off January 7
Riot Games launched Alpha vs Omega Conflict, a month-long global challenge tying directly into VALORANT’s Season 26 Act 1 cinematic. Players pick a faction — Alpha or Omega — and compete for dominance across four weekly challenges. The event runs from January 7, 2026, 09:00 CET to February 4, 2026, 08:59 CET.
Faction selection is permanent for the event’s duration. Players can choose manually or take a quiz to align with the side matching their playstyle. Points are earned through standard matches, with wins granting 3 points and losses 1. Ties break via ACS (Average Combat Score).
Weekly Challenges
- Week 1 (Jan 7–14): Most kills with Bandit.
- Week 2 (Jan 14–21): Most wins in All Random One Site mode.
- Week 3 (Jan 21–28): Most assists in any mode.
- Week 4 (Jan 28–Feb 4): Most competitive match points.
Rewards and Leaderboards
Winners on the dominant faction receive exclusive prizes, including:
- Weekly Player Cards (redeemable via activation code).
- V26 // WHY WE FIGHT BACK XL Mousepad.
- V26 // WHY WE FIGHT BACK HyperX Keyboard.
- VALORANT Custom Console Controller + Apparel.
Physical prizes are replaced with VALORANT Points for players in restricted regions like Vietnam and Korea. All rewards are claimable on the FTW platform under the Rewards tab, with codes valid for 3 months.
Content creators compete on a separate leaderboard, with top performers recognized in Americas, EMEA, and Pacific regions.
