TSM have a lot of work to do to recover from what has been a horrid season for a team of their quality and caliber. They are now at eighth spot in the LCS 2022 summer standings with a 3-6 record, which basically means that they may not have enough time to make the playoffs. 100 Thieves, on the other hand, have been in steady form, which includes six wins out of nine matches which has moved them to second on the standings.

TSM’s struggles have stemmed from their inability to register enough kills. While they are known as an aggressive team, they can only accept their high death rate of 13.4 if they are registering close to as many kills. They are averaging 9.7 kills per map this season, which is far too low to prove to be tenable in a league as competitive as the LCS.
In terms of gold, they have averaged 1742 GPM at a differential of -127 per minute. These are not good metrics for a team that has often lingered in and around the top of the LCS standings. A lot of that has to do with a new roster but TSM need to find answers quickly.

100 Thieves
Unlike TSM, 100 Thieves have solid metrics across the board, including a solid kill to death ratio of 1.48, built on a kill rate of 13.1 and a death rate of 8.9 per map. That kill rate has been bettered only by the might and offensive strength of Evil Geniuses in this split of the LCS. That is exactly what you would expect from this 100 Thieves team.
They have not quite dominated their gold game, with a total collection of 1816 per minute, and a positive differential of +72 per minute. Their game duration of 32 minutes and 43 seconds also suggests that they can play both styles of LoL: the aggressive Liquid type game as well as the solid, methodical EG style form of movement.

TSM will be buoyed after that pentakill from Instinct. It was just the change that they needed but they will find that playing this 100 Thieves team in the jungle is a different kettle of fish. I am going with 100 Thieves in this one.
