Super Sub Kane Fires Hat-Trick as Ruthless Bayern Demolish Stuttgart

06.12.2025, 12:05

Bayern Munich flexed their title-winning credentials yet again as  Harry Kane came off the bench to deliver a devastating hat-trick in a 5-0 dismantling of VfB Stuttgart. The champions extended their Bundesliga dominance with a record-setting 72nd victory against their familiar foes, pulling 11 points clear at the top and reaffirming their status as the league’s most complete force.

With a demanding schedule ahead,  Vincent Kompany opted to rotate his squad, handing rare rest to captain Manuel Neuer and talismanic striker  Kane. Yet Bayern showed no signs of slowing, snapping a recent habit of conceding first by striking early and with real flair.

Stand-in goalkeeper Jonas Urbig ignited the opener with a launched pass that  Konrad Laimer controlled superbly. A quick exchange with  Michael Olise opened the door, allowing Laimer to finish with an audacious backheel — his first-ever goal against Stuttgart and a statement moment that settled Bayern into full command.

Despite Stuttgart entering the match as one of only three sides to have scored in every Bundesliga fixture this season, Bayern’s grip tightened. Olise nearly doubled the advantage when his curling strike slipped through  Alexander Nübel’s gloves before drifting agonisingly wide. Stuttgart thought they had drawn level shortly before the break, but  Nikolas Nartey’s header was ruled offside, and  Chema Andrés flashed wide moments later. Bayern entered half-time ahead for the ninth time this campaign — the best mark in the league.

The second half opened with fewer clear opportunities, though Olise threatened once more with a rising effort, and Deniz Undav forced Urbig into a superb fingertip save after a wicked deflection. Bayern, however, remained in control, and when Luis Díaz squandered a golden close-range chance, the stage was perfectly set for their star substitute.

Kane Changes Everything

Just five minutes after stepping onto the pitch, Kane took matters into his own hands. Aleksandar Pavlović won possession brilliantly in midfield, sparking a counter that allowed  Kane to carry the ball from halfway and unleash a precise 25-yard drive into the bottom corner — his eighth goal in six appearances against Stuttgart.

Nübel denied him a ninth shortly afterward with an excellent stop, but the keeper’s fortunes soon reversed. Josip Stanišić’s powerful strike slipped through his grasp at the near post, gifting Bayern a commanding 3-0 lead.

Stuttgart’s frustrating night worsened when Lorenz Assignon blocked a goalbound Olise effort with his hand, earning a straight red card. Kane converted the resulting penalty with signature composure before completing his treble minutes later, tapping in another Olise delivery to polish off Bayern’s most emphatic performance of the season.

A Record-Breaking Night

Bayern’s 5-0 victory wasn’t just a statement — it was historic. The champions have now scored multiple goals in 21 consecutive Bundesliga matches and have won 16 of their last 17 away trips to Stuttgart. With  Kane continuing to deliver at an extraordinary rate, Bayern look increasingly unstoppable in their march toward another league title.
