Former professional Dota 2 player and streamer from Netherlands Alaan “SexyBamboe” Faraj passed away at the age of 29.
Alaan’s brother Heimen Faraj reported that SexyBamboe committed suicide. Alaan stopped communicating a week ago and also stopped streaming on Twitch, where he used to broadcast.
Alaan’s last official game was an open qualifier for DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU. His team name was Team Bald. They lost to Team NoBountyHunter, who eventually won the open qualification in Europe.
Many famous professional players honored Alaan and offered their condolences.
I’m so shocked to hear about @sexybamboe passing away.
The man was a legend in my eyes. He was there since the beginning of Dota2 and I can’t believe he is not here with us anymore.
