Rodri has reportedly taken it upon himself to apologise to members of the Valencia squad after private remarks he made during Barcelona’s 5-0 victory went viral. The Barcelona midfielder personally contacted several Valencia players to explain the context behind his comments and clear the air.
According to A Punt Radio, the summer signing reached out directly to the Valencia squad once the footage began circulating. The clips came from Movistar Plus cameras, which caught Rodri chatting with Barcelona teammate Pau Cubarsi while both watched the remainder of the match from the bench.
Rodri appeared unaware that the conversation was being recorded, and that lack of awareness left his words exposed once they spread across social media.
