The Game Changers circuit was established in February 2021, where Riot intended to generate “exposure for women and other marginalized gender within Valorant Esports.” The move paid off as the Game Changers circuit has risen in popularity. In December 2021, Riot announced plans to host a Champions similar tournament for Game Changers, where the best female teams in Valorant would compete in a LAN setting.
From November 15th to 20th, eight of the strongest teams around the world will convene in Berlin to compete for the Game Changers Championship. The eight teams will be placed in a double-elimination bracket, where the teams will be seeded based on the “region’s competitiveness and ‘player population.’ As we move closer to the competition, Riot will continue to update with information regarding the Game Changers Championship.
The eight slots will be allocated as follows:
- North America (2)
- Brazil (1)
- LATAM (1)
- EMEA (2)
- East Asia (1)
- APAC (1)
