Optic Gaming and Zeta Division clashed in a best of five to decide who was going to face LOUD in the Grand Final.

The North American team was the massive favorite, but Zeta Division has been the underdog in every series they played in this tournament.

Without further ado, let’s see how this series unfolded.

Optic Gaming picked Haven and Bind, while Zeta Division choose Fracture and Icebox. Split would be the decider if necessary.

Haven

The pistol round went the way of Zeta Division, with a great execute into the A site.

Zeta Division was able to follow their pistol round win with four straight round wins, taking a 5-0 lead.

Optic Gaming was able to finally respond and was able to stop Zeta Division which was having a great performance on the attacking side.

The North American side came alive a the end of the first half and cut the lead of the Japanese team.

Zeta Division took the 7-5 lead to the second half, and the game promised to continue to be very back and forth.

Once again the Japanese side won the pistol round, and carried the momentum to the gun rounds, opening the half with four straight round wins.

It looked Zeta Division was poised to take map one, but you can never count out Optic Gaming.

The North American side answered with five straight rounds, showing this map was far from over.

It was a very tense and nerve recking last round in the second half.

We saw Zeta Division get to match point, but Optic Gaming was able to force overtime.

In overtime it was Optic Gaming who came out on top, after an amazing comeback on their attacking side, they won Haven 15-13 and were leading the series 1-0.

Marved was the MVP of map one, with a superstar performance the controller brook the kill record for a single map on this tournament and had a combat score of 342.

Fracture

Zeta Division continued to find success on the pistol round.

However, this time Optic Gaming was quick to respond and after some adjustments on the defensive side, they won three rounds in a row and took the lead 3-2.

The rest of the half saw both teams trading rounds.

It was Optic Gaming who took the 7-5 lead into halftime., and it seemed we had another close game on our hands.

Finally, Optic Gaming was able to win a pistol round, after a great execution into the A site.

Optic Gaming continued to find success on the attacking side.

Zeta Division was not able to find any success on the defensive side, mainly because Optic Gaming had all the correct reads, and is one of the best teams when it comes to the attacking side of Fracture

The attacking side of Optic Gaming proved to be too much for the Japanese champions.

After a dominant 13-5 win Optic Gaming was now one win away from the Grand Final.

It was the second match MVP for Marved, the controller player looked really good on Fracture, and posted an impressive 265 combat score.

Bind

Coming into Bind Zeta Division will need to beat Optic Gaming on arguably their best map, or they would be going home.

Optic Gaming took the pistol round, and that wasn’t the start you wanted to see if you were a fan of the Japanese squad.

With a 4-1 start for Optic Gaming on their attacking side, it wasn’t looking good for Zeta Division.

TENN came up huge on an eco round got the Japanese champions and was able to bring them back into the game.

But Optic Gaming quickly responded and took back the control of the game, winning four of the last five rounds of the first half.

8-4 was the scoreline heading into half-time, and Optic Gaming was closer and closer to the Grand Final.

A pistol-round win by Optic Gaming to start the second half, made Zeta Division comeback task even harder.

Zeta Division wasn’t going down without a fight and proved they also had a very good attacking side, with good mid-round reads, and great teamwork to execute into the bombsites.

10-7 and the game was on, every round seemed like the decisive one for the Japanese side as their margin of error was really small.

When Optic Gaming needed a hero yay once again stepped up and on an eco round put the North American side on map and series point.

It was an admirable try by Zeta Division to try and come back on this map but Optic Gaming won map three 13-8 and will face LOUD on the Grand Final.

This time it was yay who took the match MVP.

The North American superstar won Optic Gaming some crucial rounds, and also had a lot of impact kills.

Now Optic Gaming will face LOUD in the Grand Final, which will take place tomorrow at 6:00 PM WEST.
