Juventus and AS Roma Target Gabriel Martinelli in Summer Move

13.07.2026, 03:04

Juventus and AS Roma have both registered interest in Gabriel Martinelli, with the Arsenal forward’s future at the Emirates Stadium now uncertain heading into the summer transfer window.

According to TeleRadioStereo via Calciomercato, Juventus were the first Serie A club to enquire about Martinelli’s situation before Roma also made contact to assess the possibility of signing the Brazilian international this summer.

Martinelli remains one of Arsenal’s most influential attackers after playing a central role in the Gunners’ 2025/26 campaign. The 25-year-old contributed 11 goals and seven assists across all competitions as Mikel Arteta’s side lifted the Premier League title and reached the UEFA Champions League final.

Contract Situation and Financial Hurdles

Despite that output, several obstacles complicate a potential departure. Martinelli’s relationship with Arteta has deteriorated in recent months, raising the prospect of a summer exit. His contract runs until June 2027 with a unilateral extension option to 2028, which strengthens Arsenal’s negotiating position. His €7.5 million net annual salary, including bonuses, creates a significant financial barrier for Italian clubs.

Arsenal are believed to be monitoring the market for a new first-choice left-sided attacker, which adds credibility to exit speculation. The North London club are not actively pushing Martinelli out, but are understood to be open to suitable offers. Several intermediaries have reportedly been told Arsenal would value the winger at around €45–50 million.

What Each Club Stands to Gain

For Juventus, Martinelli would add quality and dynamism to their wide attacking areas as the club continues reshaping its squad. His arrival would set up direct competition with Turkish talent Kenan Yıldız for a place in the starting XI.

Roma see the Arsenal forward as a capable addition to strengthen their frontline with his pace, work rate, and direct style. He could fill the void left by Stephan El Shaarawy, who departed following the expiry of his contract.

Enquiries have been made on both sides, but formal negotiations between Arsenal and either Italian club have yet to begin. Follow TipsGG for the latest updates as this transfer story develops.
