Ismaila Sarr's Agent Breaks Silence After Liverpool Move Collapses

Ismaila Sarr’s agent, Diomansy Kamara, has released a pointed public statement after the Senegal forward’s transfer from Crystal Palace to Liverpool collapsed on deadline day.

Liverpool moved for the 28-year-old as a priority target, submitting a £50m bid that Palace rejected outright. Sarr made his desire to leave clear, informing the club he was unwilling to continue playing for them after the offer arrived. The Eagles refused to budge, and Sarr remained at Selhurst Park.

“Our African players deserve respect. The respect of their work. The respect of their career. Respecting their ambitions. The respect of their voices.

“A transfer shouldn’t just be a matter of two clubs and numbers. Behind every contract, there’s a man, a career, dreams and life choices.

“The fact that clubs can sometimes have the final word is a reality of professional football. But one question remains: what about the career and the will of the player?

“The player must be able to be heard and respected in the decisions that determine his future. Let’s never forget what’s important: behind every success, it’s the players who write history first.”

What This Means for Sarr and Camara

Sarr has scored 33 goals in 92 appearances for Palace since joining in 2024. He was absent from the club’s opening two matches of the season as his future remained unresolved. Palace have made a poor start to the campaign and will count on him to turn results around.

Camara, 22, is regarded among the most promising young midfielders in the game. The 49-cap Senegal international could remain a Chelsea target, with January offering the next realistic window for a deal. Whether the clubs can agree on terms remains to be seen.
