Summer 2022Germany, Berlin, LEC Studio
Rogue
FnaticExcel needs to win this game if they want to maintain their number one seed, and reach the sixth victory of the season.
As for Astralis they are a much-improved team from the last Split and are looking to reach the playoffs for the first time in their history.
Without further ado, let’s get right into the prediction of the first macth of week four of the LEC Summer Split 2022.
Excel vs Astralis Match Prediction

Excel comes into this game as the heavy favorite. They sit in first place with a 5-2 record, tied with Fnatic and Rogue.
This roster has proved to be a legit title contender, and their two losses have come again two of the best teams in the region.
Versus weaker teams, at least on paper, Excel has been dominant and hasn’t found problems securing wins against teams such as Misfits Gaming or Team BDS.
When it comes to the early game Excel is one of the best teams in the LEC.
They have an average gold lead of 1k at the 15-minute mark, 71.4% first tower, and first blood a percentage of the same valor.
If Excel is ahead at the 15-minute mark they win 100% of the games, this proves how good their early game is.
Astralis is the complete opposite of Excel when it comes to the early game.
The team doesn’t have a good early game and relies more on getting to the late game where their compositions allow them to come out on top in team fights if the gold is even or the difference in gold isn’t significant.
With an average gold deficit of -61 at 15 minutes, a very low first tower percentage of just 28.6%, and a good first blood rate of 57.1%.
In the draft, Excel chooses good early game champions, which allows specifically Markoon to have many gank opportunities.
Nukeduck is always on a roaming mid-laner, where he does a great job at impacting the side lanes.
Patrick is a superstar ADC and is also Excel late game insurance together with Finn who has been playing good late carry champions such as Gwen, Kayle, and GangPlank.
As for Astralis they normally opt for a late-game draft, with Vizicsacsi almost always being on a tank in the top lane, and Dajor playing mage caries such as Viktor.
[match_prediction match=”excel-esports-vs-astralis-15-07-2022-05-00″ team=”excel-esports-lol”]
These are two teams that have very different play styles, and I see Excel as the best team in Europe when it comes to the early game and a top three team in general.
Astralis will have a hard task ahead of them, and in order to win will have to be able to not fall behind too much in the early game, reaching the late game in a position where they can still fight on somewhat equal terms.
