European Masters 2022 Spring edition is coming to an end next Sunday and will crown the best European team of the League of Legends tier two scene in Europe.

For the third straight split, and for the fourth out of the last five times, the winner will be a team from the LFL, the national French league.

Furthermore, if Karmine Corp manages to win this final they will be the first three-time European Masters winners, and also the first team to do a three-peat, cementing, even more, their organization’s legacy and their name in the history books.

But they won’t have an easy task, since they will face the reigning LFL champions LDLC, which still haven’t lost a game this tournament, and come into this series as the favorites to take the trophy.

Independently of who wins the LFL once again proved to be by far the best regional league in Europe, and the majority of French fans will be happy at the end of the day.

Without further ado, let’s analyze both teams’ playstyle, and what are the X-factors for each team.

LDLC has looked unstoppable this split. They finished the LFLF Spring Split regular season with a record of 13-5 securing first place.

In the playoffs, they defeated Karmine Corp 3-0, and then in a very close five games finals, managed to outlast Team BDS Academy to become the LFL Spring Split champions.

This team has a good early game, with an average gold lead of almost 1k at the 14-minute mark. But where this team stands out, is its ability to translate that early game gold lead into objectives, vision on the enemy part of the map, and managing to increase their gold lead even more in the mid game.

At the 20 minute mark, they have an average gold lead of almost 5k, which means their early game is really strong, and at that in most of the games when it gets to 20-25 minutes LDLC has the game in their hands and is comfortable seating on the driver seat.

One of the main reasons LDLC is able to get big early leads is the synergy between their jungle and support, Doos and Yike respectively.

The duo is able to have a lot of impact in the early game, pressuring the opponent’s lanes, and even though they rarely initiate fights they are always there to respond to a counter gank or a roam from the opponent’s support.

With mid and bot beating the most important lanes for the French team since it allows them to get vision control and set up for objectives in an easier way.

Once it gets to the mid-game and LDLC has the lead the chances are you will most likely lose. They will push the side lanes, play around with the vision they set up at objectives, and with a substantial gold lead will then force you to fight them on their terms.

Their team fitting in the mid to late game is exceptional and is the big reason behind their success in this split.

Ragner plays the role of the tank top laner and is one of the best at it. While Yike plays mostly early game-centered jungles such as Lee Sin, Jarvan, Xin Zhao, and Viego.

Doos plays a very heavily roam style so it’s normal that supports like Rakan and Leona are his go-to picks.

Exakick is mostly on his Apehlios and is the ensure policy for late game. The French ADC is very good when it comes to team fitting, and his landing phase is also solid.

Eika has also proved to be one of the best mid laners in this event, his landing phase is solid but it’s in the mid to late game, especially on the team fights, that the French mid laner really shines.

Karmine Corp might not come into this Grand Final as the favorites, but they will for sure have an insane amount of support from their fans.

The KC ultras will for sure make their presence felt on social media and the broadcast chat. With such a huge and passionate fan base the players will have extra motivation to keep their crown and the title of the best ERL team.

While LDLC has been looking really good this split and reached the Grand Final without any difficulties, the Karmine Corp season has been a little turbulent.

Seen by anyone as a super team in the ERL, especially after the arrival of superstar ADC Rekkles, the team hasn’t been able to live to the hype.

In the LFL Spring Split playoffs, they finished in third place, not winning a single best of five series, and only winning one game in the two series they played.

At European Masters, things have been looking better for the French super team. They finished first in group B, and in the first round of the playoffs defeated Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition 3-1.

Against Vitality.Bee in the semifinals Karmine Corp came back from a 0-2 result, reverse sweeping the series and booking their ticket to the Grand Final.

They have a really good early game with an average gold lead of 3k at 14 minutes but against Vitality.Bee they weren’t able to create a big lead in the early game.

However, Karmine Corp has very skilled individuals in all the lanes. If they want to ply for the top side Cabochard is one of the best carrier top laners, and top laners in general, at European Masters.

On the bot side, you have Rekkles which doesn’t need any introduction.

Saken is also probably the best mid laner in the ERLs, with a very strong laning phase, and impeccable positioning in the team fights.

It’s in the late game team fights around objectives that Karmine Corp shines, and is there where Karmine Corp turns games in their favor or just closes out the games where they are already in control.

This is a very experienced team and that’s a huge advantage specialty when it comes to a Grand Final. The team also proved to be resilient and have a strong mental so you can expect a fight from the reigning European Masters champions.

LDLC vs Karmine Corp match prediction

This can either be a very close series or an LDLC 3-0.

I think the French champions will come out on top, and win the second European Masters trophy in the history of the organization.

They have a solid early game, and their mid-game is by far the best of any team in this tournament, and one that can rival some teams in the LEC.

With a superb support-jungle synergy, good macro, and solid drafts, I think LDLC will win this series.

However, if we get the Karmine Corp of games 3 through 5 that we see versus Vitality.Bee then this can be a very close series, and Karmine Corp might even three-peat.

One thing it’s for sure, a lot is at stake in this Grand Final, and some great games of Leagues of Legends await us.
