After almost two months, and an international tournament in between, we will finally be able to see the best teams EMEA as to offer battle each other for a chance to claim the crow that is currently held by FPX.

The competition is back, and while there is only one new team, there have been a lot of roster changes with teams moving some pieces in order to achieve their goal, being that reaching the playoffs, guaranteeing their spot for next season, or winning the whole thing. But despite some new looks on teams like Fnatic, BIG, and others, the high level of gameplay is one thing that is assured.

While in North America the top four teams in the playoffs automatically qualify for Stage 2, in Europe the two bottom teams of each group were demoted and had to play the VCT EMEA Promotion tournament against the winners of all the Valorant Regional Leagues in EMEA, with the two best teams qualifying for the VCT EMEA Stage 2.

Teams

From the VCT EMEA Promotion tournament, VRL Dach champions qualified and BIG also retained their spot. This means we will have only one new team in Stage two, this team being FOKUS who had a great performance in the Promotion tournament, only dropping a single map and defeating BIG 2-0.

All the other teams are the same, while some of the names on the roster may be different. Fnatic, despite qualifying for Masters changed two players with the addition of Enzo, and Alfajer the 16 years old Turkish prodigy.

Another team that made changes after guaranteeing their spot in Stage 2 in the Promotion tournament was BIG. The German organization brought in duelist luckeRRR from Alliance, and flex player musashi from the Spanish champions Rebels Gaming.

The reining Valorant Champions ACEND also made some big changes, trading Kiles to Giants for MONSTEERR, and also added duelist player vakk from Team Vitality, with Bonecold going to the French team.

However, the most surprising thing to happen wants a roster change but a merger between LDN UTD Valorant team and OG, with the team now going by the name of OG LDN UTD. No one was expecting this, and it marks the entry of OG in the tier 1 scene of Valorant, as they already have a team in the french VRL but haven’t found the desired success there.

From this OG LDN UTD roster, the only alteration is the entry of hype, a former sentinel player for Alliance, in the place of Dreamas who was benched.

Format

Stage 2 format will be the same as the one in the previous Stage. There will be two phases, the group stage, and the playoffs.

The group stage phase will start on the 13th of May and will have two groups with six teams each.

From each group the top three teams advance to the playoffs, with the number one place from each group having one round bye in the playoffs.

All the matches in the group stage are a best-of-three and will take place online.

As for the playoff stage, it starts on the 10th of June and the Grand Final will be on the 26th of the same month.

It will have a double-elimination bracket just like in Stage 1, all the matches are best-of-three, except the Lower Final and Grand Final which are best-of-five.

The top three teams in the playoffs will qualify for the next Masters event, where they will have a chance to show the world why the EMEA is the best region in the world.

Where you can watch it

There are a lot of ways to watch the VCT EMEA Stage 2. The easiest one is Riot Games Valorant official stream, either on Twitch or Youtube.

However, every VRL league channel will also broadcast the tournament matches, if you want to watch the games in your native language this is the perfect choice for you.
