As the European football season races toward its conclusion, the battle for spots in the prestigious 2025/26 UEFA Champions League is intensifying. Below is your go-to tracker for every club that has already secured a place in next season’s competition. This list is continuously updated as teams clinch qualification via their domestic leagues or playoff rounds.
🆕 Why will England be represented by 6 clubs and Spain by 5?
According to the distribution of places, the top 5 football associations should send 4 teams to the UEFA Champions League. But two countries received an additional quota at once.
For example, England will be represented by 6 clubs at once. This is due to the fact that England received an additional place due to the high results of the teams in the last draw in the UEFA Coefficient Table. Another additional place was given to a team from the Ukrainian Premier League thanks to winning the UEFA Europa League.
Spain will also be able to count on five clubs thanks to their success in the previous season of European competitions.
🛑 Why aren’t clubs from Liechtenstein and Russia participating in the tournament?
Liechtenstein does not have its own championship: all seven teams in the country play their games within the Swiss football system. The only official tournament held in the country is the Liechtenstein Cup – the winner of this tournament receives the country’s only ticket to the UEFA Conference League.
Russia continues to wage a bloody war on the territory of sovereign Ukraine. That is why UEFA has disqualified the association from all official tournaments under its auspices since 2022.
