Rebels Gaming (#1 last Season)
- Took 4th place at VRL Promotion
- Made one change in a roster
- Looking to defend the title
The best of the last season in Spain, Rebels Gaming, is looking to repeat the recent result. Former Movistar Riders and Anonymo member, kamyk, will join the main roster, while musashi will join BIG, who is competing in EMEA Challengers. In general, is the equivalent of a replacement that doesn’t make Rebels worse.
They’re still a strong team in Spain, who has all chances to win the league again. But the question is whether their main competitors made substitutions that made them stronger.
Rebels Gaming: GatsH, vo0kashu, lyNxi, jannyXD, kamyk
Case Esports (#2 last Season)
- Finished 2nd last season
- Signed roxie from Wave Esports
- Favorites for title
Case manage to surprise in the last season, firstly qualified from Closed Qualifier to Group Stage, and then reached the final. Few people expected such a result from them, but the team managed to take second place. Ahead of this season, Case signed former Wave member roxie, who managed to lead his team to the final of DACH league last season.
This substitution certainly strengthened the team, as the Lithuanian is an experienced player. Case has a chance to repeat the result of the last season, even probably claim the title.
Case Esports: Yurii, Ambi, falltw, Wolfen, roxie
Giants (#3-4 last Season)
- Took 3rd-4th place last season
- Signed Kiles, the winner of VALORANT Champions
- Changed a coach
The Spanish club had a good transfer window. They managed to acquire former Acend player, Kiles, who won VALORANT Champions last December. Yes, they gave MONSTEERR backward, but this trade is win-to-win for both teams.
Giants have a change in the coaching staff. Former head coach Tanizq was signed by Team Vitality, while his assistant, LATEKS, was promoted to head coach. Globally, this replacement does not place the team, but can bring new ideas to the team’s game.
Giants: Kiles, Jesse, russ, Quick, Fit1nho
KOI (#3-4 last Season)
- Lost the main star of the team
- Still a contender for a title
KOI, the team of famous Spanish streamer IBAI, finished last season in top-4. Since that time, the main star of the team, finish duelist H1ber, was transferred to Team Vitality. He was replaced by another Finnish player, Famsii, who had less experience.
There’s no telling how fast he’ll be able to adapt and get into the team system. But if he will be able to do that, KOI has a chance to secure the spot for playoffs second season in a row.
KOI: PHYRN, Sacake, starkkk, Famsii, shrew
UCAM Esports Club (#5-6 last Season)
- The only team without changes
- Because of this, considered among the weakest this season
UCAM is the only team within VRL Spain, who doesn’t make any changes in their roster during the transfer window. Due to this fact, a lot of analytics have a meaning that UCAM will be one of the worst teams in the second season. This is because the other teams, at least somehow, strengthened their teams.
UCAM made a top-6 last season, which was a good result for them. Let’s see if they can repeat the same achievement within this stage.
Team Queso (#5-6 last Season)
- Signed two players from Anonymo
- Looking to fight for the title
Team Queso said goodbye to British duo Leare and Foxie, and signed xuss and Katu from Anonymo. In addition to them, the team plays another Pole – UNFAKE. Polish core can help the team to reach a new level. In the last season, Team Queso made top-6. In Stage 2, this roster has a chance to repeat the results as a minimum.
Team Queso: UNFAKE, k1zpawn, tsack, xuss, Katu
Movistar Riders (#7 last Season)
- Only KPZET remained from the previous roster
- Four new players
Movistar Riders have made the largest number of changes compared to last season – as many as four. It was a good transfer window for a team. Fizzy, szimpli, Mikeboy, and stanley joined the team. This variation of the team looks better than the previous. This roster has a lot of potential and can fight for the title within this season.
Movistar Riders: KPZET, Fizzy, szimpli, Mikeboy, and stanley
Arctic (#8 last Season)
- Made two changes since last season
- Once again will fight for survival
Despite two changes, xiTsha and humanz left, synsi and TugaTV joined, and still Arctic doesn’t look like a contender team. New signings look good, and both players had an experience, but in the background of all the others, the Arctic looks worse. The team will again fight for survival in VRL Spain, as they did last season.
Arctic:> MiniBoo, l0udly, Dext, TugaTV and synsi
Team Heretics (#10 last Season)
- Signed two Polish players
- High expectations
- Looking for title
Once a great team, the winner of First Strike, Team Heretics was the worst team in VRL Spain in the last season. Then they won only one match and took 10th place in a league. Since that time they acquire two players from Poland, GRUBINHO and snikk. First played last season in AWARIA, second – in Anonymo. Team Heretics have already had a bootcamp.
This roster looks better than the previous and must show the satisfactory result.
Team Heretics: lowel, GRUBINHO, snikk, keloqz, PoPiFresH
Real Betis (New team)
- Qualified from Liga Radiante S1
- Dark Horses
- Acquired former Heretics’ player as a coach
Real Betis is a new team in VRL Spain League. The Spanish team had a good season in Liga Radiante, which helped them to qualify for VRL Promotion. There, Real Betis smashed against BISONS Club, and secured the spot in VRL Spain. Ahead of the second season, the club signed Bromas as a coach, who played last season in Team Heretics.
It is not yet known what the team will be able to show at a new level.
Real Betis: daniel0, vity, Rexs, Guardy, VARES
