FlyQuest will resume their push to stay in the playoffs spots – they’re currently placed 5th, tied with Counter Logic Gaming – after a decent start to the summer. Their win percentage is hovering about the 57% mark and they come into the weekend with a two-game winning streak under their belt. Whether that will be useful after a prolonged break remains to be seen, but there is no denying that they possess the quality to challenge table-toppers 100 Thieves. Their kills per game average of 12.1 puts them in the upper tier of teams this season, and a towers killed metric of 6.7 is no laughing matter in a league where only four other teams have managed better.

100 Thieves
100 Thieves, who were runners-up last season, have made a solid start to this campaign with five wins from their seven games. They’re tied in second place in the table and qualification is only a formality. They’ve averaged the second lowest death per game this season with 7 per game, just behind Team Liquid.
Last season wasn’t too bad but the disappointment of losing the finals will obviously be there even now. They were pretty good in the league last time out as well with 12 wins and six losses, finishing in third place on the table. The manner of the loss to Evil Geniuses in the final was not the best, ending in a 3-0 scoreline.
Key for the team will be bot laner, FBI. He has averaged 3.73 kills, 1.9 deaths, 5.48 assists and 4.84 KDA this year. The rest of the roster haven’t done too bad either.
FlyQuest are still in the middle
FlyQuest comfortably qualified for the playoffs last time out with nine wins and nine losses but were knocked out in the first round by eventual winners, Evil Geniuses. The scoreline was slightly better than what 100 Thieves endured with the match ending 3-1. FlyQuest have got four wins out of their seven games with the playoffs in sight again but there haven’t been any marked improvements of notice so far.
They’ve got a new top laner Philip into the side, however. He has averaged 2 kills, 2.43 deaths, 4.14 deaths and 2.53 KDA so far. He’ll need to do better than to prove to everyone he’s the real deal but these are early days. FlyQuest did get one win over 100 Thieves last season and will be confident that they can repeat the trick this time.

This should be an exciting encounter between two very competitive teams. I think FlyQuest are worth a punt here. They’ve not got a lot to fear when facing 100 Thieves and will be wary of four losses so early into a new season. There’s more on stake for them, which should push them to put their best foot forward.
