Key Betting Angles
- Mexico’s perfect record is historic: El Tri have swept all three group games without conceding a single goal, posting a +6 goal difference. They arrive in the round of 32 with exceptional momentum and a formidable home-crowd advantage at their Azteca fortress.
- France and Vinícius Jr. lead the tournament’s top scorers: France have scored 10 goals in three matches — Kylian Mbappé netting five and Ousmane Dembélé four — while Brazil’s Vinícius Jr. has bagged four goals and is arguably the most dangerous attacking threat remaining in the draw. Both sides conceded very little and represent strong win-to-nil prospects in the next round.
- Lionel Messi in irresistible form for Argentina: The reigning world champion has scored all five of Argentina’s goals across just two group games, registering hat-tricks and braces in successive matches. At this rate of output, Messi’s involvement in any market — first scorer, anytime scorer or shot volume — carries obvious appeal.
- Group L’s finale is wide open for Croatia: England and Ghana are level on points heading into their separate Matchday 3 fixtures tonight (27 June, 10:00pm BST). Croatia, just one point behind, still have a realistic chance of progression if they beat Ghana and results go their way. The simultaneous kick-offs make this a volatile situation with real value potential on Croatia to qualify.
- Netherlands and Germany are dangerous knockout-stage contenders: The Dutch topped Group F with 10 goals scored, Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo combining brilliantly up front. Germany, despite a surprise defeat to Ecuador, still topped Group E on goal difference and boast a 10-goal attack led by Deniz Undav. Both teams have the firepower to go deep and could be undervalued in outright markets if they avoided each other in the bracket.
