Key Betting Angles
- Germany’s goal machine: With nine goals from just two matches and a goal difference of +7, Germany are the tournament’s most prolific side so far. Deniz Undav has scored three times across both games, making him a standout option for anytime scorer markets heading into their final group fixture against Ecuador on 25 June.
- Mexico and the USA on course for a last-16 meeting: Both host nations have won their first two group games to clinch qualification with a game to spare. Mexico are yet to concede a goal and the USA have shipped just one — both sides look well equipped to go deep, and their potential knockout-round clash would be enormous.
- Erling Haaland terrorising Group I: Norway’s striker scored twice and contributed to a 4–1 demolition of Iraq in their opener. With France also flying high on three points, the Group I finale on 26 June — Norway vs France — shapes up as a genuine heavyweight clash that could define both sides’ momentum into the knockouts.
- Group C’s tight two-horse race: Brazil and Morocco are level on four points apiece, and their respective final fixtures on 24 June — Scotland vs Brazil and Morocco vs Haiti — run simultaneously. Brazil face a dangerous Scotland side who have already won once, so a Brazilian victory is far from a formality; Morocco’s clash with Haiti should be more straightforward given the Haitian side is yet to score.
- Group H wide open ahead of Matchday 2: Spain’s goalless draw with Cape Verde was a surprising stumble for one of the tournament’s fancied sides, and with all four teams on one point heading into Matchday 2, every game is effectively a must-win. Spain vs Saudi Arabia on 21 June (5:00pm BST) and Uruguay vs Cape Verde (11:00pm BST) represent excellent live-betting opportunities in a group that could still deliver almost any qualification permutation.
