West Ham Close to Releasing Wilson
West Ham are finalizing an agreement to terminate Callum Wilson‘s contract, with the striker set to leave the club after just six months.
The 33-year-old joined on a free transfer last summer but has found first-team opportunities dwindling following the January arrivals of Pablo Felipe and Taty Castellanos. Wilson, eager for regular playing time, is unwilling to accept a reduced role.

Manager Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed discussions on Monday, stating:
“Me and Callum we had a lot of conversations, just 10 minutes ago we were speaking about that situation. Two strikers have joined, correct. I personally decided these strikers have joined. Callum is a very experienced man, he’s been in the game for so much time, he knows that his position has changed. We were honest with each other. Yes, your position has changed, but you are still a player for the club and we still maybe need him and he should help us because he joined us.”
Wilson, who scored four goals in 18 appearances, is expected to depart as talks to release him from his remaining six-month contract near completion.
