Since June 13, Romania has become the epicenter of youth football as the country hosts the UEFA European Under-19 Championship matches. The tips.gg team keeps its readers updated on the teams that have reached the penultimate stage of the tournament, and also discusses what bets can be placed on the Spain vs. Germany and Netherlands vs. Romania matches.
Spain U19 vs. Germany U19
The Spanish national team wasn’t particularly convincing before the start of the youth continental championship, winning only two out of five matches. Right before this tournament camp, the Spaniards couldn’t defeat the USA in a friendly match (1-1). However, the group stage went perfectly for them – they didn’t drop a single point. They successively defeated Denmark (1-0), Romania (3-1), and Montenegro (5-0).
Germany is gaining momentum with each game. Recall that in the first round of the group stage, the national team lost to the Netherlands by a large margin of 0-3. Then there was a high-scoring draw in a match against England (5-5), and after that, a hard-fought victory over Norway (2-1). Nevertheless, the national team is in the semifinals of the European Championship, and despite such inconsistent results, they are slight underdogs in the upcoming match.
Based on the results of the group matches, it’s clear that Spain’s youth team looks more compelling than their German counterparts. It’s very surprising that this German side is almost equated with Spain. I believe the young Spaniards will comfortably overcome the German national team. I’m not sure if this will happen in regular time, extra time, or go to a penalty shootout, but I see Spain in the tournament final.

Netherlands U19 vs. Romania U19
In the qualification cycle, the Netherlands made only one misstep – a goalless draw with Luxembourg (0-0), but otherwise demonstrated complete dominance. In the group stage of the tournament, the Dutch confirmed their status as one of the favorites: a rout of Germany (3-0) – a tactically flawless defensive performance and attacking efficiency. A victory over Norway (2-0) – ball control and minimal errors. A convincing success against England (4-2) – despite the struggle, the “Oranje” showed character and the ability to score in key moments. The team looks balanced: powerful offense combined with a fairly reliable defense, making them one of the main contenders for the title.
The Romanian national team did not participate in the qualifiers, as they automatically received a spot as the tournament host. However, this didn’t prevent the team from playing ten friendly matches, with four wins, three draws, and three losses. In the group stage, the Romanians showed instability but managed to reach the semifinals: a victory over Montenegro (2-1) – an important start that gave them confidence; a defeat to Spain (1-3) highlighted problems against strong opponents; a spectacular drubbing of Denmark (3-0) – proof that the team is capable of impressive performances.
The Netherlands prefer to dominate possession and control the tempo of the game. Their style involves high pressing, midfield control, and wide play on the flanks. Romania, in turn, actively uses quick flanks and counter-attacks, relying on speed and individual actions. Given the style of both teams, their motivation for the semifinal, and the good form of key players, the match promises to be high-scoring and dynamic. Therefore, in this match, I’m backing the Netherlands, and not just for a win, but with a significant number of goals.
