Juventus vs Borussia Dortmund

Athletic Bilbao vs Arsenal
The Champions League returns to Bilbao for only the third time since 1992. It’s a huge event for Athletic, but they’ll have a very difficult start—they’ll face an experienced Arsenal side, considered one of the tournament favorites. However, the current form of the Basque team suggests they can put up a good fight. Athletic are generally strong at home and very effective in attack.
This season, Arsenal has conceded just one goal—in their away loss to Liverpool. But on the European stage, the Londoners aren’t as defensively sound. The Gunners haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last six away games in European competitions. Still, Arsenal has won four of their last five away matches in Europe and will look to capitalize on their much greater European experience in Bilbao.
Six of Athletic’s last eight European matches, and nine of Arsenal’s last ten, have seen at least three goals scored. Athletic has scored in six of their last seven home games in Europe, scoring at least twice in five of them. While an away victory seems the most likely outcome, my bet is on goals.

Benfica vs Qarabag
Although Benfica is undefeated this season, they haven’t always looked convincing. Dropped points against Santa Clara after a costly Otamendi error and a hard-fought win over Fenerbahçe showed they have problems—primarily in attack, where their finishing isn’t always sharp. In their last match, they had 19 shots but scored only once. New signings like Lukebakio and Sudakov could solve this issue, but the former is currently injured, and the Ukrainian needs time to adapt to his new club.
Qarabag convincingly navigated the Champions League qualifiers, winning five of six matches, and are ready to fight for a playoff spot. Their run of three consecutive away wins in Europe gives them confidence, although Benfica’s higher level makes their task much harder. Still, the Azerbaijani side’s attacking potential means they can at least score, even if their chances of getting points are slim.
Benfica has not won by more than a one-goal margin in nine of their last 12 matches. Qarabag has not lost by more than one goal in over ten consecutive games.

Bayern Munich vs Chelsea
Bayern Munich has won all five of their domestic matches this season, securing the German Supercup and taking sole leadership in the league. In every game, they have scored at least two goals, often more. While they’ve had some minor issues on the road, at home, Bayern looks terrifying. Their matches against Leipzig and Hamburg ended in a combined 11-0 victory.
Chelsea remains undefeated in the Premier League and has gone nine matches without a loss, including the Club World Cup. However, they’ve already had two draws in four league rounds, even though they haven’t faced any top-tier teams yet. The team is effective in attack but not flawless defensively—a vulnerability Brentford recently exploited.
This is essentially the first major test of the season for both teams. We anticipate a tight contest. While we favor Bayern, our main bet will be on total shots on target.

Liverpool vs Atlético Madrid
Liverpool underwent significant changes in the summer transfer window, spending over 200 million on new players. Expectations for the Reds are high. But Liverpool is still finding its rhythm, and Arne Slot is integrating players into his system.
