PARIVISIONThe Eight Survivors of TI14
The playoff bracket is stacked with variety: two Chinese giants, a couple of European juggernauts, and underdog stories that nobody saw coming. The teams still in the hunt for the Aegis are:
- Xtreme Gaming (4-0 Swiss record)
- Team Tidebound (4-1)
- BetBoom Team (4-1)
- PARIVISION vs Wildcard Gaming
- Nigma Galaxy vs Aurora
- Tundra Esports vs Team Liquid
- Team Falcons vs Team Spirit
- HEROIC vs Yakutou Brothers
Every squad brings a different flavor — from Xtreme’s perfect run to HEROIC’s surprise breakthrough — setting the stage for one of the most unpredictable playoffs in years.
Nigma Galaxy’s Breakthrough Run
If there’s a single storyline electrifying TI14, it’s Nigma Galaxy. Since forming in 2019, the org had never qualified for The International — until now. And not only did they make it, they’ve fought their way into the top eight.
Their Swiss stage journey was pure chaos: miracle comebacks, near-throws, and everything in between. Facing elimination against Aurora, Nigma rallied under immense pressure to secure their playoff berth. For fans, this isn’t just a result — it’s vindication. The “people’s team” finally has a stage to shine on, and millions are rallying behind them as they march deeper into the bracket.
Fallen Giants: Liquid and Spirit Exit
But where there’s triumph, there’s heartbreak. Two former champions — both favorites entering TI14 — are gone.
Team Liquid, defending champions from TI13, fell to their former captain Neta “33” Shapira and Tundra Esports. Their back-to-back dream was cut short in brutal fashion.
Meanwhile, Team Spirit, widely tipped as frontrunners for TI14, clashed with Team Falcons in what felt like an early grand final. The series delivered fireworks, but Spirit came up short, bowing out in one of the tournament’s most dramatic eliminations.
The Road Ahead
With Spirit and Liquid eliminated, one fact is guaranteed: a new champion will lift the Aegis of Champions in 2025. The bracket is wide open. Could it be the dominance of Xtreme Gaming, the resurgence of Chinese Dota through Tidebound, the relentless aggression of BetBoom, or perhaps the fairytale run of Nigma Galaxy?
Whatever the outcome, the Barclays Arena is set to witness history — and the most unpredictable TI playoffs in recent memory.
