Week three of LCK is here and despite most of the matches having a massive favorite we still have some very interesting series.
T1 vs DRX is one of those matches. Both teams are still undefeated and despite having a series before they face each other, I feel like they will come out on top without many difficulties and will reach this series tied for the first spot in the league, together with Geng.G.
This Wednesday one of the two teams will receive their first loss of the Split, and if T1 loses it will end their record running 24 series (probably 25 after the defeat Kwangdong Freecs) win in a row, so whatever the result history will be made.

Liiv SandboxSo far this season I am 5-3 when it comes to LCK predictions so let’s see if I can continue with the good results, and perhaps even do a perfect week this time.
Without further ado, let’s get right into the prediction of T1 vs DRX, the match of the week, and a series that has all the ingredients to be a very interesting one.

T1 vs DRX Match Prediction

Both these teams have shown some great games so far, and are currently tied for the first seed.
You can argue that DRX had an easier schedule so far and that is one of the reasons why they were able to have this great start, buts still, going 4-0 even with somewhat of an accessible schedule is still a remarkable feat.
As for T1, they are coming from a great 2-0 victory versus DWG KIA, and I expect them to make quick work of Kwangdong Freecs in their opening series of week three.
T1 has been showing a good early game, with some good proactive plays, especially towards the top side of the map, great Drake control, and they are still of the best teams in the world when it comes to the way they play skirmishes and team fights.
When it comes to the mid-game, T1 ability to play around their vision, and the great macro game they show is also among the best of the best.
The reigning LCK champions have an average gold lead of 1.5k at the 14-minute mark, an 85.7% win rate when ahead at 14 minutes, a very high 88.9% of the first tower, and a somewhat low first blood percentage, of only 33.3%.
DRX early game is a solid one. They have an average gold lead of 729 at the 14-minute mark, a good first tower percentage of 66.7%, and a decent first blood rate of 55.6%.
When they get ahead in the early game DRX is able to snowball the game very quickly, forcing skirmishes when they are ahead since they know they are very likely to win them as long as they don’t make a huge mistake in the fight.
Their 100% win rate when ahead at the 14-minute mark proves that, and shows that DRX is a very proactive team that can find good plays in the early game, and also has good Drake control.
When it comes to the draft both teams are very flexible and have shown to have a deep champions pool, especially T1.
Faker has already played with seven different champions, most of them control mages.
Keria continues to show why he is seen by many as the best player in the world. He has also played seven champions so far, from melee supports to ranged supports, engage champions, or peel champions, he is able to play all of them at a high level.
In DRX kingen and Pyosik are the ones that have shown more versatility. Both of them have played six champions so far, with kingen being able to play the carry top laner role or the more supportive tank top laner role, and being good at both of them.
Zeka is been playing like a superstar mid-laner so far, so it’s going to be interesting to see how he will do against Faker, especially in the landing phase.
DRK has been showing they are a team to be taken seriously and that you can’t underestimate them.
However, T1 is their toughest opponent yet and I think they will have a lot of difficulties finding the same success with some of their plays against T1.
T1 is looking more and more like the unstoppable team that went undefeated in the Spring Split, while DRX has been looking good but still hasn’t faced a team anywhere near the level of T1.
I expect a very entertaining series, in which the early game can be decisive, and the mid/late game team fights will also have a very big impact if both teams get out of the early game even in the gold and drake departments.
This series has every ingredient to be a very entertaining series and I am looking forward to seeing these two teams battling out.

In the end, I think T1 will be too much for DRX. They have a good early game, the mid-game has been looking great as of late, and individually are full of star players.
