Sint Truidense vs Brann Prediction: 05.11.2026 UEFA Conference League

Two sides sitting right at the top of their Conference League mini-table meet at Stayen, and honestly this one looks tighter than the bookmakers’ numbers suggest. Sint Truidense and Brann both opened with two wins from two, and both arrive off a league weekend where form went in opposite directions. Brann have been scoring for fun lately, Sint Truidense have been leaking goals they probably shouldn’t. That contrast is really the whole story here.

Keep an eye on Ilias Sebaoui up top for the Belgians, two goals and fifteen shots across his last five outings tell you he’s the focal point of whatever STVV try to create. On the other side, Noah Jean Holm has been nothing short of lethal, five goals in his last five appearances for Brann, and that kind of run tends to carry a team through tricky away trips like this one.

Hot stat: Holm’s five goals in five games is the single most eye-catching number from either squad’s recent form, and it’s not particularly close.

Sint Truidense vs Brann prediction

We’re not fully buying the short home price here. Sint Truidense sit favourites at around 1.68, but their last two matches saw them ship two and then three goals, against Leuven and Club Brugge respectively, and that defensive wobble lines up poorly against a Brann side that’s netted ten in its last five. We think goals at both ends is the smarter route, backed up by the attacking numbers on both sides rather than any clean sheet gamble.

Stylistically these two are closer than the table position implies. Fouls committed sit almost level, 56 for Sint Truidense against 55 for Brann, and yellow card counts are both modest, six and eight respectively, suggesting neither side plays overly physical football. Pass accuracy hovers around 84-85% for both teams too, so expect a game built more on transitions and individual quality than sustained control. Brann’s higher offside count (seven versus two) does hint at a more aggressive forward line pushing the offside trap, which could work for or against Holm depending on the night.

🔥Hot Tip: Noah Jean Holm to score anytime

🎯Total Corners: Over 9.5

Team Analysis

Sint Truidense have actually cooled off a bit after a strong patch. Three straight wins against Midtjylland, Lommel SK and Iberia built some genuine confidence, but the wheels came off against Club Brugge (2-3) and then Leuven (1-2), both matches where the attack showed up but the back line didn’t hold. In our preview of Midtjylland vs Sint Truidense we leaned toward the Danish side winning with goals flowing at both ends, but Sint Truidense actually nicked that one 1-0 away from home, so that call went against us. It’s a reminder this squad can grind out low-scoring results when needed, even if their recent trend points the other way.

Brann have been the more consistent of the two lately, four wins from their last seven matches and a last-five stretch that reads three wins and two losses, with victories in their two most recent fixtures. The 3-2 win over Molde was scrappy but got the job done, and before that a comfortable 2-0 away at Grorud. In our preview of Kauno Zalgiris vs Brann we called Brann for a routine, one-sided win, and the eventual 4-1 scoreline backed that read up nicely. That’s the kind of away performance Eirik Horneland will want to see repeated at Stayen, honestly.

Most recent Head-to-Head Matches

These two clubs haven’t actually crossed paths in any competitive fixture we can draw stats from recently, this is a fresh meeting in European competition with no prior head-to-head form to lean on.

Pre-game odds and win probability: Sint Truidense the favourite

  • Moneyline Sint Truidense 1.68 | Brann 4.40
  • Draw 4.00

The market leans fairly hard toward the hosts, roughly 55% implied compared to 21% for Brann, but we’re skeptical the gap is really that wide. Sint Truidense’s defensive form over the last fortnight hasn’t matched the price they’re being given, and Brann arrive with more attacking output per match. Value, if there is any here, probably sits away from the straight moneyline.

Possible Starting Lineups

Sint Truidense possible starting eleven

  • GK: Leobrian Kokubo
  • DF: Joedrick Pupe, Visar Musliu, Kota Takai, Shogo Taniguchi
  • MF: Abdoulaye Sissako, Nelson Ishiwatari, Nathanael Mbuku, Frederic Soelle Soelle, Samed Baždar
  • FW: Ilias Sebaoui

De Meyer’s preferred 4-2-3-1 keeps Sissako and Ishiwatari shielding the back four, which makes sense given how much Sint Truidense have struggled defensively the last two games. Sebaoui leads the line alone and needs service, while Mbuku’s sixteen shots over five matches suggest he’ll be pushed forward whenever possible rather than tracking back.

Brann possible starting eleven

  • GK: Simen Vidtun Nilsen
  • DF: Fredrik Knudsen, Joachim Soltvedt, Neraysho Kasanwirjo, Jonas Tviberg Torsvik
  • MF: Niklas Wassberg, Eggert Aron Gudmundsson, Kristian Eriksen
  • FW: Niklas Castro, Noah Jean Holm, Saevar Atli Magnusson

Horneland sticks with the 4-3-3 that’s carried Brann through their strong recent run. Holm is the obvious name to watch, five goals in five says it all, but Eriksen’s combination of two goals and two assists in the same stretch makes him a genuine secondary threat from midfield. Castro rounds out the front three with more minutes logged than anyone else in that attacking group.

The Verdict

We think the home price is a touch short given what both sides have shown lately. Sint Truidense have the quality to trouble most defenses in this group, Sebaoui’s shot numbers prove that, but conceding five across the last two matches is a real pattern, not a blip. Brann, meanwhile, have Holm firing and a midfield that’s contributing goals from deep too. Our lean is goals at both ends, over 2.5 in total, with Brann picking up at least a point and maybe nicking all three given the attacking gap between these sides right now. Backing BTTS alongside the over feels like the cleaner way to approach this one rather than chasing the short home moneyline.
