Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on signing Manchester City winger Savinho in a deal worth £60 million, with the transfer expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.
According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham have maintained persistent interest in the 22-year-old Brazilian and are now on the verge of agreeing terms with Manchester City. Roberto De Zerbi has given the North London club the green light to push through a deal, with the final agreement between the two sides imminent.
Savinho’s Stint at Manchester City
Savinho joined Manchester City from sister club Troyes for £30.8 million in July 2024. His debut season showed genuine creative promise despite inconsistent minutes, but his output and involvement dropped sharply during the 2025/26 campaign, generating frustration behind the scenes.
Across 36 appearances in all competitions this term, he accumulated 1,502 minutes, contributing four goals and three assists. With Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo ahead of him in the pecking order, regular minutes were scarce. His market value has held firm regardless, with multiple clubs tracking his availability.

Why Tottenham Are Pushing for the Signing
Tottenham made an approach for Savinho last summer that ultimately failed to produce a transfer. The need for a wide attacker has only grown since then, particularly following Son Heung-min’s departure nearly 12 months ago. Richarlison’s future at the club also remains uncertain after a volatile spell in North London.
Several attackers have appeared on Tottenham’s shortlist, including Cody Gakpo, with Savinho consistently featuring as a primary target. Reports indicate Enzo Maresca is prepared to sanction the sale, shifting the question from whether the deal happens to when it gets done. A £60 million agreement is expected to bring the Brazilian’s difficult period at City to a close.
