Who has the most injuries in the Premier League right now?
Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea and Hull City head the list with seven players out apiece, the heaviest toll in the division right now. At the other end, Everton, Fulham and Manchester City have each lost just one player, a reminder that the injury burden this season is falling unevenly across the Premier League.
The longest-running absences explain why some squads feel the pinch more than others. Liverpool’s Giovanni Leoni has already missed 55 matches with a knee injury, with team-mate Hugo Ekitiké out for 40 through an Achilles problem. Manchester United’s Manuel Ugarte has sat out 49 games with a knee issue, Brighton’s Stefanos Tzimas has missed 45 with the same complaint, and Nottingham Forest’s Nicolò Savona has been out for 43.
It is not just games missed that matters, it is the quality lost. Bukayo Saka had still managed three goals in seven Arsenal appearances before his thigh injury, and Antoine Semenyo had two goals and three assists in seven games for Manchester City before his knee problem. Bobby Thomas logged 678 minutes for Coventry City, Maxence Lacroix 634 for Chelsea with an assist to his name, and Nordi Mukiele 592 for Sunderland, all now sidelined.

What is the difference between injured, doubtful and suspended in these tables?
Injured means a player has a confirmed fitness problem ruling them out. Doubtful covers a player whose involvement is uncertain rather than ruled out. Suspended means a ban, from a red card or accumulated yellows, keeps them out regardless of fitness.
