Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on Manor Solomon’s departure, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting that negotiations with West Ham United have reached their final stages.
The move is part of a broader effort by Roberto De Zerbi and the club’s board to generate outgoings following a heavy spending spree in the early summer window. Ashley Phillips’s pending switch to Middlesbrough is expected to push Spurs’ total income from sales past the £80m mark, with further add-ons anticipated down the line.
West Ham Close on Solomon Deal
West Ham are said to be confident a deal will be completed soon. Israel National News reports the transfer fee will come in at just under £10m, which represents a significant profit for Spurs given Solomon arrived on a free transfer in 2023.
Injuries and loan spells have restricted him to just six appearances for the club. During the 2025-26 season, he made 11 appearances for Villarreal and 19 outings for Fiorentina.
What Solomon Brings to West Ham
West Ham supporters have grown frustrated with what they see as slow transfer activity, particularly with the EFL Cup first round against Portsmouth arriving on Saturday. Signing Solomon addresses that frustration with a player who has proven quality at this level.
The Israel international contributed 10 goals from 39 games during Leeds United‘s 2024-25 Championship title-winning campaign. At 27 and with a clean bill of health, he has the profile to become a regular starter under Nuno Espirito Santo.
