Silva Praises Fulham’s Resilience in Narrow Victory
Marco Silva believes Fulham fully deserved their 1-0 win over Sunderland after a late strike from Raul Jimenez sealed the victory.
The Premier League clash saw Fulham dominate possession and create chances, but it was Jimenez’s clinical finish in the dying moments that ultimately decided the game.
“We did more to win the game,” Silva stated. “We controlled the match, created opportunities, and worked hard to earn this victory. The players showed great determination and resilience.”
Sunderland, despite a spirited defensive effort, struggled to create clear-cut chances. Their best opportunity came from a set-piece, but Fulham’s defense held firm.
Silva’s side now looks to build on this result as they continue their campaign. “We take this win and move forward,” he added. “There’s still a lot of work to do, but today’s performance gives us confidence.”
