Barcelona are expecting an opening bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Ferran Torres in the near future, with the Spanish winger having already agreed personal terms with the French champions.

The 26-year-old scored the winning goal for Spain in the 2026 World Cup final against Argentina last month, capping a remarkable rise back to prominence. Barcelona are not actively seeking to sell Torres this summer but will not block a transfer if PSG submit an acceptable offer.

Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that a formal opening bid from Paris is imminent.

“PSG interest? Being wanted by these teams is good. I have a contract with Barcelona. It’s true that in football you never know what might happen, but since I have a contract, I can wait and decide on my own.” — Ferran Torres, speaking to NBC

Torres has scored 65 goals in 207 appearances for Barcelona since joining from Manchester City in 2022. During his time at Camp Nou he has collected three La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey, and three Spanish Super Cups. Last season he netted 16 La Liga goals as Barcelona clinched the title.

Ties to the Premier League have also surfaced, with Manchester United and Arsenal both seeking attacking reinforcements before the window shuts. PSG, though, sit firmly at the front of the queue for the former Valencia forward.

Barcelona’s transfer activity complicates the situation. The club signed Karim Adeyemi and Anthony Gordon to strengthen the attack, yet Robert Lewandowski departed on a free transfer at the end of June. A Torres exit would sharpen the need for another forward and free wage budget to pursue one.

Atletico Madrid‘s Julian Alvarez remains a long-standing target for Barcelona, but the Spanish capital club has ruled out selling the Argentina international this summer, leaving that avenue closed for now.

Barcelona continue pre-season preparations with a friendly against Basel on August 16, followed by a clash with Al Ahly three days later. Stay with TipsGG for the latest updates as the Torres situation moves toward a conclusion.
