Chinese team EDward Gaming became the Worlds 2021 League of Legends Champions. EDward Gaming defeated South Korean team DAMWON Gaming 3:2 in the Grand Finals.
This is the first victory in Worlds Series for EDward Gaming. The Chinese team has two legionnaires from South Korea – Scout and Viper. The EDward Gaming team earned a quota at Worlds after finishing in first place at LPL Summer.

The group stage was not as easy for the champions as for their opponents. DAMWON Gaming finished 6:0 in their group A without losing a single game, while EDward Gaming came out of the second place in a group B with a score of 4:2.
Games EDward Gaming played in the Playoffs were also close in score. They defeated Royal Never Give Up 3:2 and Gen.G 3:2.
EDward Gaming’s Jungler Zhao “JieJie” Li-Jie was named Series MVP. And the last map of the series lasted more than 41 minutes.
The Worlds 2021 prize pool is $2,225,000. EDward Gaming earned $489,500 for first place.
