The winger earned a World Cup call-up from Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman despite remaining uncapped at senior international level. Koeman selected Summerville ahead of Liverpool‘s Jeremie Frimpong, citing his consistency and work rate.

Dutch outlet Voetbal International reported on Thursday that Summerville has an opportunity to depart West Ham, with Roma and former Premier League relegation rivals Tottenham both monitoring the situation. La Gazzetta dello Sport placed Summerville at the top of Roma‘s summer wishlist, a claim subsequently confirmed by sources speaking to Voetbal International.
West Ham have communicated their asking price to Roma, and the Italian club is reportedly prepared to meet those demands. Both sides were already tracking Summerville during the January transfer window.
Summerville joined West Ham from Leeds United in 2024 for approximately €29 million and remains under contract at the club through 2029. A World Cup stage with the Netherlands will only sharpen the competition for his signature heading into the window.
