Six fixtures across England, Spain and Germany shape the weekend of 17-18 October, and there is a selection on every one of them. Oleksii Svyrydov, TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert, supplies three of the calls, while Sports Data Manager Oleksandr Halian handles the other three, with prices running from 1.67 at the short end up to 2.03 at the top — switch those figures into American or fractional formats with our odds converter. TipsGG publishes free football predictions with pre-match odds for the Premier League, La Liga and the Bundesliga. These football betting tips lean firmly towards goals, with four of the six involving a total or a both-teams-to-score leg, and they take in sides still hunting a first league win of the campaign as well as a Spanish title race heading towards El Clasico on 25 October.

Everton vs Chelsea Prediction
After a dramatic, hard-fought draw against Hull City (2:2), a game in which the lead changed hands several times, Everton are preparing for another Premier League test. The Toffees have shown real resilience early in the season, still unbeaten after six matches and holding 5th place with 10 points. The team-news situation is a headache for the coaching staff: Ukraine international defender Vitaliy Mykolenko missed the previous game through injury, and his absence noticeably weakens the Merseyside back line.
Meanwhile the London club travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in high spirits after a crushing win over Bournemouth (5:1). Chelsea were remarkably efficient in attack, with veteran Jordan Henderson delivering a brace and an assist, and Joao Pedro completing the rout with two goals of his own. Notably, those five goals came from just 10 shots and a combined 1.09 xG. Xabi Alonso‘s side are level on 10 points and sit 6th, behind Everton only on tie-breakers.
The Toffees have not yet finished a home game without scoring this season, while Chelsea under Alonso still lack a clear structure and their matches keep turning into goal festivals. In my view, these two sides, neither of them tied up with European commitments, have more than enough energy and quality to give us a bright, high-scoring game.
Prediction: Over 2.5 goals – odds 1.69
Real Betis vs Barcelona Betting Tips
The Benito Villamarin hosts the standout fixture of the La Liga round as Real Betis welcome reigning Spanish champions Barcelona. Both clubs arrive on the back of successful European nights, each coming from behind to beat their opponents — Porto (3:2) and Galatasaray (4:1) respectively.
Betis under the experienced Manuel Pellegrini are in a powerful run of form: just one defeat since the start of the campaign against eight wins and one draw. The Verdiblancos know how to show character, as both Champions League meetings with Porto and Lille demonstrated, the Andalusians snatching victory after conceding first. That said, the home defence does slip up from time to time and ships plenty of goals against disciplined or fast opponents.
Hansi Flick‘s Barcelona are playing ferocious attacking football and pulling opposition defences apart — in only one game this season have the Blaugrana scored fewer than three. The Catalans routinely rack up three to five goals a game thanks to an incredible pool of talent and huge variety in the final third. At the same time their own defence is far from flawless: goals conceded in six of nine matches played is proof enough.
We are in for a spectacle between two teams who are not used to sitting back. Manuel Pellegrini stresses bravery from his side, so Betis will definitely look for chances at the visitors’ end with their own crowd behind them. Containing the current Barcelona attacking machine, however, will be extremely difficult for the hosts. I expect a high-scoring match.
Prediction: Over 4 goals – 1.96
Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig Odds & Pick
A genuine Champions League thriller against Norwegian side Viking (3:3) left Bayern Munich supporters with mixed feelings. Shocked by two quick goals, the German champions seized the initiative through a Harry Kane brace and a precise finish from Luis Diaz. But a senseless red card for Michael Olise on 73 minutes broke the structure of the game and allowed the Norwegians to level right before the whistle. Vincent Kompany was seriously angered by Olise’s behaviour, and the star forward is facing criticism for the first time after two brilliant seasons.
RB Leipzig, by contrast, return to domestic duty after a pragmatic but hugely important win over PSV (1:0). The heroes that night were goalkeeper Maarten Vandevoordt, who saved a penalty from the experienced Ivan Perisic, and Brajan Gruda, who opened the scoring with a superb curling effort. Martin Demichelis‘s players are in excellent shape: after convincing thrashings of Eintracht (6:0) and Hamburg (5:0), they sit 5th with 9 points and are ready to take on the season’s main favourite.
Judging by recent displays and the head-to-head history, we are in for a highly entertaining contest. Bayern have already dropped plenty of points early in the season and will want a convincing win, while Leipzig will most likely try to punish the Bavarians in a shoot-out. I see the hosts as clear favourites.
Prediction: Bayern to win and over 3.5 goals – odds 1.67
Bournemouth vs Sunderland Preview
The Vitality Stadium stages a meeting between two Premier League clubs in the Europa League who are also table neighbours in a far from comfortable position — three and four league points respectively. Both won recently in Europe: the Cherries hammered Sturm Graz (3:0), while the Black Cats came from behind for a narrow win over Torreense (2:1).
Bournemouth under Marco Rose have made an excellent start in Europe, yet cannot find a first win in the English top flight and sit in the relegation zone (18th). The team has serious defensive problems — 13 goals conceded already in the league, and in their last nine matches across all competitions they have kept a clean sheet only three times. Despite decent quality in possession and chance creation, the Cherries lack finishing and reliability at the back.
Sunderland under Regis Le Bris are, as last season, playing pragmatic football, which so far has not brought the desired dividends in the world’s strongest league. Their latest success was a first away win of the campaign. Unlike his opposite number, the French coach fielded mostly squad players in midweek, so the freshness of the first-choice XI is likely to be on the Black Cats‘ side.
Bournemouth are motivated to claim a first league win. Excellent home results, where the Cherries have lost just once in 15 home matches — narrowly to Liverpool (0:1) — give grounds for hope. Despite the better freshness of Sunderland‘s key men, it is the hosts who look more convincing. I believe Bournemouth are well capable of avoiding defeat or winning by a narrow margin.
Prediction: Bournemouth to win by 1 goal or draw – 1.83
Leeds United vs Manchester United Match Tips
Elland Road hosts two teams with completely different moods early in the season.
Leeds United have been a pleasant surprise: nine points from five matches and fifth place in the Premier League. Daniel Farke‘s side play bright football against any opponent, although the main star of the Whites right now is goalkeeper James Trafford, who, as time is showing, was worth the sizeable fee. He has rescued the team repeatedly and has every right to hope for a national-team call-up. At home Leeds are unbeaten in eight consecutive official matches, and last season the Whites did not lose to the Red Devils at all, taking one win and one draw.
Manchester United, after a successful season that brought a return to the Champions League, are badly shaken at the start of the new campaign. The Red Devils have produced their worst league start since 1986 — just six points from six rounds. In their last match they again threw away victory in the closing minutes against Tottenham (1:1), despite playing with a man advantage. Such results are fuelling growing rumours about the possible dismissal of Michael Carrick.
Leeds are obliged to take advantage of the visitors’ problems, as they are under enormous pressure after a long run without wins and a lack of character. I expect goals at both ends and the hosts’ unbeaten run to continue.
Prediction: Leeds not to lose (1X) and both teams to score (Yes) – 2.03
Real Madrid vs Sevilla Prediction
Real Madrid‘s win at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma (4:3) will surely go down among the great Champions League comebacks. Trailing 1:3 during the second half, Los Blancos showed their trademark champion character: youngsters Espi and Endrick brought Madrid back into the game, and Antonio Rudiger snatched three points on 90 minutes. Interestingly, Real won that match through corners, which is gradually becoming a habit given the radio-controlled deliveries of Arda Guler. Jose Mourinho‘s men currently sit 4th in La Liga with 18 points, six behind Barcelona. With El Clasico approaching on 25 October, the Royal Club cannot afford another slip.
Sevilla were caught in a whirlwind in the latest round against Levante (3:3). A match preceded by fierce clashes between supporters outside the ground proved no less heated on the pitch: the Nervionenses twice went ahead but contrived to concede in the 100th minute, with three goals in total arriving in second-half stoppage time. On top of that, Isaac Romero was sent off and will now miss the trip to Madrid. Despite sitting 5th with 14 points, Sevilla’s defensive chaos remains their main Achilles heel.
Given that Arda Guler only came on in the 59th minute against Roma and still became the main driving force of that game, I expect him to start against Sevilla and, as a consequence, to produce end product — the Turkish midfielder is in incredible form.
Prediction: Arda Guler to score or assist – odds 1.77
Across the six selections the prices range from 1.67 on the Bayern double to 2.03 on the Leeds combination, which puts the bulk of the weekend in the odds-against-to-even band rather than at long prices. Four picks involve goals markets, so the round stands or falls largely on attacking output. Use our free bet calculator to work out potential returns on these selections, whether you back them singly or combine them.
