Club football returns from the international break on 10-11 October, and the weekend brings nine selections spread across England, France, Spain, Italy and Germany. Oleksandr Vaskov and Oleksandr Halian, both Sports Data Managers, share the workload with TipsGG Sports & Esports Expert Oleksii Svyrydov, and between them they have leaned on goal lines and double chances far more often than straight winners. Prices run from 1.71 at the short end up to 2.56 at the longest, and an odds converter will turn those decimals into whichever format you read best. TipsGG publishes free football predictions with pre-match odds for the Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga. With leaky defences, managers already under scrutiny and a derby thrown into the mix, these football betting tips lean into the uncertainty that two weeks away from club duty has done little to settle.

Arsenal vs Leeds Prediction
Arsenal headed into the international break on the back of an unexpected defeat. Losing 0:3 to Brighton was a very loud result, yet there is no real hint of a difficult spell ahead, and the excellent form of Mikel Merino, Martin Odegaard and Viktor Gyokeres should help them come back into club football with a bang.
Leeds have been a surprise too, but in a positive sense. After five rounds the Peacocks have conceded fewer goals than anyone else in the league, they contained that same Brighton side, and new arrivals Tarik Muharemovic and James Trafford are deservedly earning praise from supporters and from Daniel Farke.
Most of the recent head-to-head meetings have ended in emphatic Arsenal wins, but this time the chances of a rout look very slim. Leeds play respectably as the second team and (almost) successfully contain the pressure of powerful attacking lines, although a shock is hard to believe in.
Prediction: Both teams to score at odds of 2.10
Chelsea vs Bournemouth Betting Tips
In their first seven official matches of the season Chelsea scored 18 goals but conceded 15, including 12 in the Premier League, where Xabi Alonso‘s side are unpleasantly surprising everyone with their defensive numbers and own the worst defence in the division after five rounds. That is exactly what has caused results to slide after a rapid start — just one point from the last three matches with seven goals conceded.
Bournemouth have only won in the League Cup and the Europa League this season, but Marco Rose‘s team look decent in the Premier League as well, taking points off fairly strong opponents, while Manchester City and Liverpool both had to labour against the Cherries and edged past them by a single goal.
The last three head-to-head meetings between Bournemouth and Chelsea produced no winner. I suspect the visitors will prove a tough nut to crack once again.
Prediction: Bournemouth +1 handicap at odds of 1.71
Manchester United vs Tottenham Odds & Pick
Manchester United come into this fixture sitting only 12th in the Premier League. In the previous round, before the international break, the Red Devils conceded an unfortunate own goal against Fulham (1:1) but significantly outshot their opponents, which eventually produced an 89th-minute equaliser from Matheus Cunha. Clouds are gathering around Michael Carrick: British pundits accuse the Manchester side of low intensity and passivity without the ball, since the team ranks among the league’s worst for distance covered and number of sprints. Carrick deliberately builds not on running work but on positional structure and the intelligence of his three playmakers, yet so far that has brought no visible results.
Tottenham are in a deep, systemic crisis and after five rounds sit bottom, 20th, with two points. The team has not won a single match this season and lost to Aston Villa (2:3) in the last round. Star men such as Marmoush and Bentancur are disappointing, and De Zerbi‘s experiment of moving Porro into a winger’s role has failed completely.
Both sides are under pressure for results, yet the fundamental pattern of play of the Red Devils under Carrick looks considerably more coherent than the outright chaos in Spurs’ game. Given that the visitors are going through one of the worst starts in their modern history, the Manchester side have an ideal chance to take advantage of their opponents’ crisis.
Prediction: Manchester United to win at odds of 1.74
PSG vs Le Mans Preview
At the Parc des Princes the long-standing hegemon of French football hosts a Ligue 1 newcomer who, after the rounds played so far, trails the Parisians by only two points.
PSG have started the new season fairly weakly. After two dramatic draws in which Luis Enrique‘s men salvaged at least a point thanks to late goals, the Parisians lost to Monaco (1:2). In the last two rounds before the international break the reigning Ligue 1 champions finally managed wins over Brest (1:0) and Marseille (2:1). The defence of the Rouge-et-Bleu, like their overall play, was frankly unconvincing before the break for national team fixtures: only against Brest did they keep a clean sheet, which was not entirely logical given how that match unfolded.
Le Mans, straight after promotion to the elite, have managed to settle in mid-table over five rounds. That is an excellent result for a team back in Ligue 1 for the first time since 2010. Their matches have been a treat for goal-hunters — in all five games both teams have found the net. That is a dubious achievement from a defensive point of view, but Le Mans are the only side in the league who can boast such an unbroken run.
PSG traditionally improve as the season goes on and towards its end. Right now it is hard to predict what the capital club will look like after the break. But I suspect that in such a short time the glaring defensive problems will not have gone anywhere, which is why the now traditional goal trend in Le Mans matches should continue.
Prediction: Both teams to score (Yes) – 2.08
Real Madrid vs Villarreal Match Tips
Real Madrid are in a fever: the defeat in the Madrid derby to Atletico (1:2), with Dean Huijsen sent off, only worsened the mood inside the squad. Another conflict flared up in the Los Blancos dressing room in recent days — insiders reported a fight between two players, and the atmosphere in the team has remained “hostile” since the departure of Xabi Alonso. A six-point gap to Barcelona this early in the campaign looks fairly significant. Despite that, the team’s leaders Mbappe and Bellingham had an excellent spell at international level and will be the main driving force in the coming match. Thibaut Courtois was rested, and Arda Guler returns hungry for wins after Turkey crashed out of contention in the opening three Nations League rounds.
Villarreal, by contrast, approach this contest in excellent spirits, with half of their first-choice XI enjoying a full rest during the international break. Before that came a convincing victory over Levante (3:1). The whole attacking unit of the Yellow Submarine produced a superb display: Perez, Moleiro and Mikautadze all scored, and the team racked up an impressive 4.27 xG from 21 shots. Villarreal are highly efficient and capable of causing problems for any defence through vertical play. Their current ninth place in La Liga forces them to play at maximum against every heavyweight.
Despite Los Blancos winning four of the last five head-to-head meetings, the current psychological state of the Madrid side and the tension in their dressing room give the Yellow Submarine a fine chance of making this a fierce contest at the Santiago Bernabeu. I expect a high-scoring game in which both teams find the net.
Prediction: Both teams to score (Yes) and Over 3.5 goals at odds of 1.98
Como vs Roma Prediction
Como have made a very good start to the new season, backing up their high ambitions with results. The home win over Leipzig in the Champions League was especially impressive, but Cesc Fabregas‘ team were halted by Frosinone before the break for national team fixtures. Perhaps that is the moment that will help the Como players treat every game more responsibly and distribute their energy better. The match with Roma is an excellent test.
Roma‘s last outing before the break was against Inter. Gian Piero Gasperini‘s side put together a fine run and led by two goals, but ended up drawing. That is a good result against a strong opponent and shows that Gasp’s team belong among the leaders and the Scudetto contenders in the pundits’ view. Last season, however, Roma did not look their best away from home against top opposition.
Has Gian Piero managed to change his players’ mindset? We are not betting on the winner, but on a bright, high-scoring game.
Prediction: Over 3 goals at odds of 1.99
Crystal Palace vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tips
Crystal Palace go into this Premier League fixture 15th with four points. Pierre Sage‘s team are still trying to balance the Premier League with the Europa League, where the Londoners started by thrashing Lech (4:0). In the previous league round the Eagles played out a 0:0 draw with Leeds. Despite Tyrick Mitchell‘s goal being ruled out for offside and several chances wasted by Daichi Kamada, the team kept a clean sheet for the first time this season thanks to a convincing display from Walter Benitez. The attacking potential led by Jorgen Larsen looks interesting, but the side still lacks consistency in the final phase.
Nottingham Forest sit 13th with five points, though their recent results are a real worry for supporters. In the last round Oliver Glasner‘s men suffered an unfortunate home defeat to Coventry (0:1). Forest had the initiative and managed as many as 24 shots, but their finishing was non-existent, while a late goal from Igor Jesus was ruled out by VAR for a foul in the build-up. The team suffers from a lack of creativity in the final third, and regular defensive lapses are becoming a chronic illness.
Meetings between these teams traditionally turn into fierce but low-scoring contests. Both sides are in the bottom half of the table and will be focused first and foremost on getting a result. I think Forest are slight favourites, because they are still the more stable of the two defensively. That said, I would not rule out another draw in this pairing.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest to avoid defeat (X2) and Under 3.5 goals at odds of 2.03
Alternative prediction: The match ends in a draw (X) at odds of 3.42
Hull vs Everton Odds & Pick
The MKM Stadium hosts a meeting between neighbours in the table in the sixth round of the Premier League. Both teams have practically identical goals scored and conceded figures and identical records (wins, draws and defeats), which only underlines how evenly matched they are.
Hull have started superbly in the English top flight, especially considering their status as a fairly modest club — two wins, two draws and one narrow defeat in the last round before the break from five matches. A pragmatic style of play, a well-organised defence, a cutting edge on the counter and the ability to make set pieces count are what has produced those results.
Everton have put together a solid start as well — the Toffees are one of five teams still unbeaten after the rounds played (two wins and three draws). Like their opponents, the Merseysiders play fairly pragmatically. Last season a broadly disastrous finish ultimately cost them a place in the European places. To repeat even that kind of return, the Merseysiders need to work hard and must take points off opponents like Hull.
Given the playing style of both teams, I expect a scrappy encounter with plenty of battling and a minimum of goals. Hull are still unbeaten at home, and Everton have not tasted defeat at all so far. As a bold option you could even consider the draw. The safer choice looks like the lower goal line.
Prediction: Under 2 goals in the match – 2.56
Alternative prediction: Draw – 3.45
Koln vs Borussia Monchengladbach Preview
The RheinEnergieStadion stages a fiercely contested Rhine derby. The fact that both teams have made a fairly weak start to the season only adds importance and tension to this clash.
Koln have begun their first season back in the German elite modestly — one win and one draw against two defeats. Still, that return is far better than their opponents’ haul: Borussia have failed to pick up a single point in four rounds and have already sacked their head coach.
In the games played so far, matches involving both teams have delighted spectators with plenty of goals at both ends. In every Koln fixture both sides have scored. Monchengladbach, meanwhile, alternated heavy away defeats with narrow home setbacks before the international break, and in high-scoring games at that.
Rhine derbies in recent years have usually served up a solid number of goals. Given both teams’ problems in the opening four rounds, it seems entirely logical to expect that trend to continue, and I suggest adding to it the home side avoiding defeat, since they have been the more convincing of the two in the matches played.
Prediction: Koln to avoid defeat (1X) and Over 2.5 goals in the match – 2.13
Eight of the nine selections are priced between 1.71 and 2.13, with only the low goal line at the MKM Stadium stretching out to 2.56, so this is a weekend of short-to-medium prices rather than outright long shots. A free bet calculator is handy for working out what these selections return individually or stacked together, including the two alternative picks at 3.42 and 3.45.
