Arsenal Plot January Move for £86m Bournemouth Forward Eli Junior Kroupi

Arsenal are already planning attacking reinforcements for January after failing to land their primary targets during the summer window. AFC Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi has emerged as a concrete option for Mikel Arteta, with the Gunners reportedly set to revisit their interest once the Frenchman recovers from injury.

Arsenal Eye January Return for Kroupi

According to The Independent, Arsenal are considering reigniting a move for Kroupi in January after the summer window closed without a major attacking addition. The 20-year-old impressed at the Emirates level last season, scoring 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances for the Cherries. His summer was then complicated by a fractured metatarsal requiring surgery, ruling him out for several months and effectively ending any realistic prospect of a transfer at that stage.

Arsenal had explored moves for Julian Alvarez, Vinicius Junior, and Morgan Rogers, but none were completed. That left Kroupi as a realistic option to revisit once he returns to fitness.

Bournemouth previously valued their prized asset at around €100m (£86m) and would be unlikely to dramatically lower their demands simply because of his injury.

Kroupi Could Address Arsenal’s Left-Wing Gap

Kroupi represents a precise fit for what Arsenal have been missing in the final third. Christos Tzolis was the only natural winger added during the summer, while Eberechi Eze could now be asked to cover significant minutes from the left. Kroupi would give Arteta another genuine wide option with the ability to operate centrally as well.

His 13-goal Premier League season at 20 already demonstrates he is capable of immediate impact in England, not merely a long-term project.

The injury is the obvious concern. Arsenal will need to assess how quickly he returns and whether he can rediscover his explosiveness before committing to a fee of that size.
