The new season has introduced plenty of features clearly unintended by developers. Stuff like Shaco’s boxes interacting with Hexdrake Soul to oneshot anyone by dealing a thousand attacks a second is, while definitely annoying, a rare enough occurrence to really affect outcomes of matches either way – plus it was fixed fast enough. However, any League player worth their salt knows one thing: vision wins or loses games.
And, oh boy, when vision gets bugged out, all hell breaks loose.
I was looking through replays trying to track down Nunu’s ability to somehow bypass wards without a sweeper. At first I chalked it down to just my bad luck or lack of awareness, but then, when it happened again, I got curious (and pretty frustrated).
And what I saw was pretty damn annoying:

Safe and sound, right?
A peaceful image, right? Clearly, this red ward’s vision field extends all the way to the midlane’s thin wall. I am protected and safe and have nothing to worry about, so when a speedy Nunu barrels through it…
I should be able to detect him early and simply fall back, right? Surely Nunu won’t set up a perfect gank with his midlaner Yasuo, right?
Well. Nope.
And here’s Ori’s point of view to show that it isn’t actually the infamous invisible Nunu:
The “invisible Nunu” bug is a different (although as frustrating) topic, as it would make the character completely invisible until he attacks, as seen here:
Now, I’m not a professional video game tester (do these even exist anymore? asking for a friend) or a designer, and I have no idea if the issue is actually with Nunu himself or rather with wards or map geometry, but this is clearly an incredible oversight/bug/glitch.
Here’s hoping that it will get fixed before some team loses a game to this at Worlds.
