BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025: Where and How to Watch the First CS2 Major of the Year

03.06.2025, 13:42

Today, June 3, 2025, the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 (USA) kicks off in Austin, Texas—the first Major of the year in Counter-Strike 2! This tournament promises to be unforgettable: 32 top teams from around the world will compete for the title and a share of the $1,250,000 prize pool. The event will take place at the Moody Center from June 3 to 22, and fans have plenty of ways to join the esports celebration—whether in person or online. Here’s where to watch and what’s in store!

What is the format of BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025?

The tournament will span three weeks and consist of several stages. From June 3 to 6, Stage 1 will feature 16 teams from regional qualifiers competing in a Swiss format (best-of-1 and best-of-3). The top 8 teams will advance to Stage 2 (June 7-10), where they’ll be joined by 8 invited top teams. Stage 3 (June 12-15) will bring together 16 teams, with the top 8 moving on to the playoffs. The final stage—the playoffs (June 19-22)—will follow a single-elimination format, with all matches, including the grand final, played as best-of-3 to determine the champion.

Where to Watch the Tournament?

Tickets for the Moody Center playoffs are still available if you want to take in the atmosphere in person. You may get them straight from the venue or via reliable ticketing websites. Don’t worry, though, if you’re not in Austin; every game will be televised.

YouTube: Look for the “BLAST Premier” channel – every match will be there with English commentary.

Twitch: On the BLASTPremier (BLAST.tv) channel, you can watch the streams and interact in the chat.

The event will also be streamed by regional streamers in local languages. A detailed list of all platforms will be announced later.

The event will be covered by a stellar lineup of commentators: Scrawny (Conner Girvan), launders (Mohan Govindasamy), Anders (Anders Blume), ddk (Daniel Kapadia), Hugo Byron, JustHarry (Harry Russell), SPUNJ (Chad Burchill), and Machine (Alex Richardson).

What Will Be Shown?

All stages leading up to the playoffs will be held without a live audience, but the streams will cover every match. You’ll see teams fighting for survival in the Swiss format, where every game could be a make-or-break moment. During the playoffs, cameras will capture not only the gameplay but also the energy of the fans at the Moody Center, where a packed house is expected! Beyond the matches, BLAST promises additional content: player interviews, analysis, and behind-the-scenes footage.
